They gave up on an 18 year olds kicking?

Blues persisted with Harry in the magoos for a lifetime and now they have a Coleman medalist.

Roos really have nfi how to develop players and run a club.
They also have several half decent key forwards, and no other defenders
Agree on the development and club though, would be hard with basically no resources. Should have folded / moved to gold coast years ago. Maybe they'll move to Tas

You can be a good Coach, an excellent Coach .....but after 10 years of no success, it's generally a good idea for the parties to move on

Ken to NORTH :whitecheck:

Ross Lyon to PORT :whitecheck: .....Lyon strikes me as a Port type Coach
I’d have Ross at the Crows anytime. In fact I was hoping we’d get him after Pyke.

Collingwood would be prepared to allow Port Adelaide to wear its prison bar jumper once a season if the Power was prepared to use teal instead of white on the bottom panel of the historic strip.
Thin white piping around the teal bit and it would look great

I hate to say it, but Collingwood has no say over this jumper. The minute Port stray away from a black and white prison bars its all systems go and they could wear it every home game. Essentially Collingwood just gave them a home jumper design lol. But the gall to think they have control lol.

COLL cannot dictate a jumper design .....impossible

They can dictate the colors Black & White

All you need do is use the Black & White Prison Bar Guernsey, and add some Teal as the minority 3rd color

But again .....PORT are obstinate about this, even though they swore to the AFL on their AFL submission not to use black & white .....and the media talk about us being an arrogant club .....give me a break !

The Issue is, Lyon only proved to achieve the same sort of success as Ken. It would be like for like. The only upgrades would be Clarkson, Hardwick and Scott.
Yes it would be like for like ....but sometimes you need a change of voice .....new eyes

Bergman 20 YO
Burgoyne 19 YO ....will be a heck of a player !
Butters 22 YO
Rozee 22 YO
Drew 23 YO
Georgiades 21 YO
Lachie Jones 20 YO
Teakle 21 YO
Mead 21 YO

Just to name a few ....they have plenty of underbelly, to fill the void, of the ageing veterans

They do and they dont.

What I am getting at is they will be going in next year unless anyone retires with 6 players over 30 and another 9 over the age of 27. That's 15 players at the back end of their careers. Thats a lot of holes to fill over the next few years, not to mention those seeking trades or drop away to be delisted. In comparison the Crows have just 10 players that will be 27 and over next season if there are no retirements, trades and delistings, which we know we are likely to make some more list changes.

With a young list, his history at the Saints and Freo isn't a red flag for you?
If we had Ross Lyon our SANFL team wouldn't lose a game , and AFL team average age would be 25 plus.

Might have seen Thilthorpe debut at 23 years of age.

This is funny because to turn it down, they essentially have to admit that teal sucks balls.

Am I going blind in my old age ...

Cripps at his appeal - "I'm trying to turn and protect the drop zone of the ball, I've got my arms outstretched. The ball is there to be won."

Not sure Robbo knows what "precedent" means...
