My god every Port person on the AA sports show, oh Timmy it's great to finally have some Port on this show. You what? That station has actually sucked their dicks since 2014.
In glad I'm not the only one that thinks this

Just listening to AA they are discussing Port's best AFL players.

Pretty slim list when they name Ollie Wines equal 4th with Wanganeen just cos they won a Brownlow.

Wanganeen had two great years at Port, far better career at Essendon.

Their three.
Tredrea, clear best IMO.
Robbie
Boak

No SILK?
Or doesn't he count because he went to the Hawks?

He'd be top of my list.

Andrew McLeod and Scott Thompson top my list. Johncock in that #4-6 range along with Boak/Gray (Behind Tredrea)

Hey, they are one club, and they were on Port's list and in the AFL at the same time

Shaunie is one of the greatest players in the modern era IMO

In no order

Buddy
Ablett
Judd
Goodes
Shaunie

Should be second behind Tredrea, for his time at Port, if they were being honest.

He was not the same player that when he was at Hawthorn compared to at Port.

No way is Burgers number 1 for Port.

Thats like saying Carey is the best ever Crows player.

Lade to Burgoyne for two or three years was an elite Ruck/mid combo.

I reckon

Tredrea
Shaunie
Lade
Primus - they changed the rules for him
Wanganeen
Pickett
Chad Cornes
Even Kane

This core was superb in the 2000 to 2008 era. Far better than the next era and each one a great player.

Then look at the guys in Primus/Hinkley era An era where they have been one of the worst clubs in the comp.

Gray
Boak
Schulz

I watched a Showdown from 2000 or 01, can't remember which year a while ago and thought between our clubs we should have dominated the 1997 to 2006 era.

Both clubs stacked with talent on every line.

Lost crucial Finals

I've thought this before, the amount of chokes between both of us was unreal. Should have been 7 flags between us.

I like how the articles about Clarko going to Essendon say that in order for him to go there, they’ll have to guarantee him
  • rock solid support
  • someone to curb his excesses
  • no club instability or divisions
  • no blunders in list management, conditioning and player welfare

In other words, to be a super coach he needs everyone else to be perfect at their jobs too😄

I’m sure there are plenty of coaches who’d say “Give me all that and I’d be a better coach too!”

Didnt we lose Birdman, Roo and McLeod for crucial finals?

Not sure about the order except Tredrea but their best Tredrea, Boak, Gray, Shaun Burgoyne, Josh Francou, Roger James, Chad Cornes imho

Do not agree with that at all, Burgoyne isn't even the best indigeanous player of the modern era - he was nowhere near McLeod. Burgoyne was a good player with longjevity, he only made one AA team accross his long career.

Think you need to reasess this.
