I'm not seeing it... their old generation should be retired already... boak and Dixon should be retiring and I doubt won't make much impact next year. Dixon will be lucky to finish games the way he's going. I can't see them improving from their current position. They've lost gray and amon who are 2 of their best.

I’m not disagreeing as I think they aren’t as good as they think but it felt good if Ken got another extension. Imagine the melts on the Port Big Footy board.

Collingwood did very well this year with all those close wins but they underperformed last year. No doubt about that.

You'd think that Merrett could be gettable by another club, was unsure when negotiating his contract last year, stayed after being assured of stability and a way forward to success for the club. All of that has now been torn down, and I think I saw him interviewed last week expressing his disappointment that what he was told is not what is happening.

The dominant faction is clearing the decks so there is no agitation for something they will **** up as well eventually. They were part of it. Until they are all cleaned out it will linger.

Did I ever say you needed 22 grunts? Yes you do need high end talent.

You need a balance of players in any side - have a look at each Premier.

You also won’t win s**t with 22 players either with all the talent in the world if they have no application.

You made a statement that you’d choose a hard trier over talent that doesn’t always try. There was no qualification, so I assume you’d make that choice every time. I did see a subsequent post that then stated you need a mix, but I couldn’t be arsed editing my post.

So you don’t always prefer a low talent trier, should have just wrapped your full view up in a single post.
