The Lions signed that deal after the AFL had signed with Coke, which had some sort of "protected advertising" clause in it which is where that issue came in.

I don't think the AFL can suddenly police an entire stadium who has contracts/sponsorships in place already as they apply to more than just AFL matches. I imagine the stadium couldn't display Coke advertising during AFL games however or something like that.

Now im curious

I just look at the beer side of things.

We get Furphy/Super Dry for AFL, West End for SANFL, XXXX for Australia Test Match.

I do wonder if it means grounds will switch over to Pepsi.

I know that means my dad will go from a 50/50 split of Soft Drinks/Alcohol to probaby 80/20 split of Alcohol to Water
