Some super salty port fans on the train

Go and have a read of the thread for the AFLW game on the Port board. Starts of hopeful, 15 pages of complaint in about umpiring (although last screen shot shows 13-10 Adelaide way) and then commiserates about China strategy, then acknowledges they are miles behind. Funny stuff

That was amusing, I swear 90% of Flog Fairlanes posts were about the umps.

Brad Scott at essendon, what could go wrong? 😆

Imagine going through all that shit, just to swap Ben Rutten for a bloke that was encouraged to apply by his old employer having been in the job for a year.

Brad Scott is not a win. And he certainly wasn’t worth all that boardroom crap for

I think the reason Cats got a 1st rounder for Motlop was so that they could conveniently trade that to GC for Ablett.

It had nothing to do with contract size or value.

there is a possible legitimate reason that could occur. Every now and then, a year will come where perhaps a disproportionate number of high earners are dealing with a low year in front or back ended contracts. So the wage scale for that year is skewed as a few guys that average $800k+ are earning less and $650k strolls in and lands comfortably in band 2. Rare, but possible.

I imagine it's a bit like the Roo situation was for us.

Sheedy wanted Hird and he's gonna see it as an attack that he wasn't hired, probably cause he sees Hird in the same light he sees himself. The only one capable of fixing the situation cause no one else loves the place like he does.

I think it's more that he didn't agree with the implication that there was a unanimous vote.

**** me, all of this just makes Port look hopeless.

Why do they let everything play out in the media?

Now Richard Douglas' comments the other day make sense. He thinks he's in with a shot.

Imagine being an Essendon supporter. I think they’ve got it worse than us. But only just.
