They didn’t need to deviate from Festival of Footy. That was perfectly fine.

Totally agree with you, however when first mooted , I thought AFL would never ever allow this. We are The Festival State so that name would never do. When played in another state it would have implications of SA.
I would agree the Gather round is lame. Or is it The Gather Round round.
Of the top of my head how about The Gala round or The Celebration round Really anything but Gather sounds way too casual. Going to show my age and look for my old kazoo to practice kum-ba-ya.

In my view in the AFL Port should be able to wear their prison bars and my rationale as approx. 2/3rds as their supporters and some of their players are likely to have spent some time behind bars and the other 1/3rd are still awaiting trail it's a #nobrainer.

Maybe it's different with SMA. Club members don't use their regular barcode, we use a unique code that was sent yesterday.
