They are a good team and good to watch. I like both SA teams being up there. * the vics
Port fans would never want us to do well, so why should we want them to do well? That defeats the purpose of a cross-town rivalry.

it was Tippett and we never broke the cap, but we did organise to divert sponsor dollars to a player. Very clear breach of the rules, live with it.
Yep the club got done for arranging a promotional job for Tippett and not including it in the TPP.

The fact that we could have included it in our TPP and still been under the cap and we didn't just shows just how inept the club actually was.

Just another shining example of Trigg's incompetence.

I find myself desperately hoping for a Collingwood premiership now..such a Sophie’s choice. Did see some interesting stat the other day that something like only 1 premiership winner in the last 6 years was in the top 2 in Rd 13…can only hope that form holds…

Port remind me of the 2002 crows. Lead by an all star midfield Roo, McLeod, Goodwin and Edwards we went all the way to the preliminary finals. Issue was we lacked enough around the ground to take us to the premiership. Port are this. No doubt great midfield but the rest of the team are mediocre mixed with a few above average.

They’ve got a solid backline…and have enough decent forwards, no star forwards is made up for there 3 gun goal kicking midfielders..anyway as another poster said, let’s hope collingwood have a good grand final

Their forward line is better than most. Their defense is very solid. Midfield is great. Teir weakness is ruck.

I don't think Port will make it.

I think they will make it this year, Port and Collingwood are the clear standouts….Ken has been a pretty unlucky coach I feel, should have made it at least once to the big dance. Don’t think he is that bad of a coach as some make out. This feels like their year unfortunately, whether they win the GF or not is another story.

That’s always been the message but I’m not too sure.

The fact that we rolled over with such harsh penalties about a week after the news broke suggests there was more at play. Crows and the AFL didn’t want the facts to come out so they settled quickly. Crows got their punishment for cheating and AFL maintained the competition is fair and wasn’t actually compromised. Move along nothing to see here.

That doesn’t happen over a ‘clerical error’.

So if they lose one of Rozee or Butters do they come back to the field?
Yes, but still around the mark if they can keep up the manic pressure. I'm not going to wish injuries on them though, that's not cool. Let's hope they stay healthy AND lose

Nah they were the facts. The issue was the crows didnt want it dragging into the season moving forward and neither did Tippetts management. The AFL agreed to do it quickly and abided by the requests of all parties. The fact we accepted harsher penalties than we needed compared to other clubs suggests our eagerness to roll over quickly cost us far more than we needed. Had we fought for the facts and didnt offer up sanctions in all likely hood we probably would have not received such a penalty because we paid Tippett no more than the cap allows. Didnt Reid and another get suspensions as well? We no doubt would have received a suspended penalty for breach of the cap processes while the guilty people would have still received their suspensions.

So why don't the Bulldogs play them in Ballarat then??

They are kissed on the dick they get the bulldogs there and we get them at Jupiter oval.
I agree, we play in some shiit hole in the country, instead of the fast paced Marvel Stadium.

Even removing my biased hat off, I still definitely believe we would have pushed the Dogs hard and possibly won if the game was at Marvel.
