He has already has a knee reconstruction , and that’s obviously a risk factor
it's his good knee this time.

Disgusted with the Aus Cricket.
You spoilt rich campaigners are representing an entire nation on an international stage and you utterly disgrace us with these piss poor actions.
Everyone involved can **** right off. Strip Smith of the captaincy and **** him off back to shield cricket, I don't care if he's our best bat he's a disgrace to every captain that's ever worn the baggy green.
Pathetic all of them.
Don't think aggression in sport is a negative to be honest.
Yeah but risk of injury to the contralateral knee is still higher than the population riskit's his good knee this time.
Yes I think so. After taking Brander I thought the recruiters should have pulled the trigger on Kelly. A plug and play mid that would've been our second best mid.We went OAllen didnt we?
Buggar
That and the fact that our recruiters are crap. We're allergic to midfielders.
But what if Venables and Oallen end up being seriously good players. Because they play sooner doesn't mean that they were better picksKelly playing great footy for the cats, who would've thought...almost like Sammy PP for the Power, just never saw it coming........go our recruiting staff.
We need mids now.But what if Venables and Oallen end up being seriously good players. Because they play sooner doesn't mean that they were better picks
Taking Kelly was a no brainer. He should've been the priority after Brander was picked. We took one tall why pick another one and leave our midfield with mostly seagulls. But what if Venables and Oallen end up being seriously good players. Wouldn't disagree that Kelly would have been a great addition and looks like he has made an impressive start to his AFL career, I think it is easier to make an immediate impact with the likes of Selwood, Ablett, Duncan and co. in the midfield. Still happy with the Allen pick.Taking Kelly was a no brainer. He should've been the priority after Brander was picked. Insane that they can get someone like Taranto given how strong their squad already was.Just look at the GWS list, they are that good.
If GWS can learn to win at the MCG this year, the flag is theirs for the taking.
Never has there been a team assembled with so much quality and depth across all positions.

Kelly was linked pretty heavily with Geelong prior to the draft, him going at 24 was telegraphed a fair bit.As for T.Kelly I think we just never expected anyone else to go at him prior to our pick 26.
Geelong did at pick 24 and that is that.
Even if we didn't go with O.Allen, T.Kelly at pick 21 would not have happened - we would've gone with L.Fogarty or N.Balta instead.
Locked and loadedOscar Allen will be likely be developed as a mid by the Eagles
