No real surprise there. Not sure he will get off,but the argument that it was careless (I.e. hard to see what you are doing when your head is forced sideways by the other players elbow that is also on your throat) deserves to be made.

Also get them to squirm on what 'unreasonable' contact is, based on the above elbow choke.

The penalty is so odd. If it's intentional, then eye gouging is about as low an act as there is and it should be straight to the tribunal and awaiting a Gaff-level suspension.

They should be able to argue down to careless given how reticent the MRO normally is to apply an intentional grading to more calculated acts than this one.

That's my point, they're not considering a lengthy suspension yet saying it was an intentional eye gouge. I can't reconcile those positions.
