Not to mention their WAFL team is crap and any draftees they bring in are going to get smashed week in and week out as they develop.

I actually think this is the most important point. If you can't protect your developing stars, plus give them solid mentoring (look what Mundy and Fyfe have done for Brayshaw, Serong etc), there's a real danger you stunt their development and prolong your time in the mire (see NM for an example).

Gee don’t get my hopes up that they could spend that long down the bottom.

Good to see the Kelly trade has set them back a season on the rebuild.

Very good point re. the lack of support from snr players, their biggest issue is their best players can’t get on the park.

Surely they clean out their strength and conditioning.

Just popped over to the West Coast board to check and yep, the majority are still just low IQ ****ing morons.

What a sad bunch of dumb campaigners

Their autopsy thread is a nice hit of schadenfreude.

Lol'd at the guy saying he knows what if feels like to be a Freo supporter now - as if we've ever been as bad as they are.

Could West Coast be the worst team in the AFL era?

What’s brilliant and frustrating at the same time is it’s difficult to tell their fans how shite they actually. As if they’d finish outside the bottom four with a reasonable injury run.

The best thing is the club itself seems to be in denial. Adam Simpson’s press conferences are gold - “no excuses but makes an excuse about injuries”. What a ****ing moron!

They’ve literally got two above average players under 25 - Oscar Allen and Rueben Ginbey. I’m sure more will come about but guys like Long, Hewett and Chesser haven’t really shown too much at all yet. Hawthorn and North wouldn’t bother giving the rest of their players under 25 games at all.

I mean, they aren’t a top 8 side, but that injury list is a genuine reason for how poor they are. Sometimes coaches use it as an excuse when the have similar issues to whoever they are playing, but in this case it is a nightmare for them.

That doesn’t make it any less sweet.

We saw their best side could play decent footy in the derby, until their season fell apart.

its not unlucky when they have a bunch of guys like niknat, shuey, yeo who are all constantly injured. Thats not luck. Thats expected results.

They have a bad injury list because they got greedy and tried to keep these guys around for "one last crack" when they should have moved on a number of them.

I agree their injury list is long but we had terrible injury lists for years and were never this sh**e.

Make no mistake when fully fit they’re a bottom four side. That’s coming from someone who thought they might avoid the bottom six before the season started. I’m happy to admit I was wrong, especially on this occasion.

Amazed by the number of them sticking fully to the idea that sacking Simpson is all that's needed to resolve their binfire.

Any move that doesn't start with pensioning off/cap dumping at least a fraction of Shuey, NicNat, Darling, McGovern, Gaff and Hurn is the wrong one.

But that runs square in to their collective belief that they're a great playing group which has just had a little bit of bad luck, and Nisbett, Gepp and Co are too scared of the potential backlash from their insane supporter base to contemplate offending it.

imagine they sack an experienced coach and hand that shit sandwich to a newby.
at least Longmuir had Fyfe and Mundy and some good youngsters

The funniest possible outcome is them bringing someone like Bluey out of the cold. Or going cap in hand to Woosha (or #HowSo).

Putting the 92-94 signal on the roof at Lathlain and shining it hopefully into the sky is all Nisbett really has left that'll fly with their Boomer members.
