I need to get my IT band massaged tomorrow like I'm being tortured for world saving secrets and I'll still be laughing enjoying a Carlton loss.

There's still time, but I don't feel it for them. I think they've lost the spirit.
For this year, or this group?

Serious question : does cerra get a game in our current line up ? He’s not quick enough for the wing. Maybe playing on the half back flank ?
Tough question because we wouldn’t have JOM, but he looked a lot better for us and we used him properly. Carlton are making Walsh look inept as well.

Would rather Cerra than JOM IMO and he’d round us out nicely as was the original plan

Taylor's take: Carlton are missing a medium tall to offer a marking target away from the obvious two targets. They are too predictable. They need a mark 70m out from goal and they will look much, much better. Play Acres as that tall marking target forward, bring in another winger.
Cripps.
Guy is struggling in the middle. He’s a gun mark and can use his body and pace leading to the ball.

I guess cerra is a longer term opinion but a midfield without JOM is pretty lightweight.

Honestly think Cerra was happy and content being in the Fremantle midfield. Real brotherhood between Brayshaw, Darcy and now Serong.
Feels like he was forced or wanted to move due to his GF/family.

Langdon was the same. Then was coached for better kicking and it changed him.
Carlton has nothing like that
Not necessarily, Langdon has no doubt improved at Melbourne, but he was always under appreciated around here. Back to back top 4 b&f's from memory with us.

Cerra having an alright season at Carlton and absolutely gets a game here

I think we're seeing Treacy's value by watching other teams struggle vs Blakey/Stewart/(I hope Lever).

He doesn't get a stat for it, but he's been a gun at shutting them down sonfar and making them accountable.

A lot of these intercept defenders are lightweight guys who float around picking off kicks and for some reason nobody puts a knee in their back and gets a bit of body contact on them. Treacy on the other hand loves doing both.

Cripps and Pittonett are too good a team at stoppages to switch that out, but I do think Cripps should be playing more decoy and defender, drawing his opponent to a team mate and trying to sandwich them between - but they need to play Fisher as the third mid or Saad to run it out from handball.

He loves smashing those guys. Larkey, and then Stewart. He doesn’t hold back. Can guarantee he ll go after Lever

I agree with someone else (might have been you even) who said he’d have stayed if not for COVID. Even Serong says it made him think twice about where to play.

Realistically losing him was the best thing to happen to us since we probably don’t have any of Amiss, Brodie or Johnson if he stays

Probably bang on tbh but realistically they’ve probably got the worst bottom six outside of the bottom three teams.

Can’t have Cripps, Curnow, Walsh, Weitering, Saad and Docherty (maybe add McKay when he plays better) doing everything. They’ve got maybe 2-3 other B Graders. The rest of their team stinks.

They’re going nowhere until they get a more even contribution. That won’t happen without significant changes to their list.

Went to the blues board for a laugh and it was too depressing.

Enjoyable game. Love watching carlscum lose, even if I do like Vossy a lot.

As soon as I feel bad I remember how much of a bunch of dirtbags they are behind the scenes. Nothing on the players, but those gloryhole loving weirdos are just odd

Cerra isn’t becoming the player he projected to be. Getting bigger stats this year but he isn’t impacting much. I remember his best early years form was brilliant spearing skills inside 50 and class, I’m seeing a lot of dinky sideways handballs this year. That 1-2 with Docherty after giving it to him flat footed in traffic was symbolic.
Nah that's pretty much how I remember him playing for us as well.

Plus he is a wimp

Good to see Troy Cook and Kevin Taylor there with Derek Kickett
