Then I think that is free agency when he comes out of contract which is why it is only 2 years.
Put a few players in a room with some umpires and coaches for an hour or two and they’d make more positive changes to the game’s rules/interpretations than the AFL organisation has made in 15-20 years.
The AFL don’t seem to be in touch with what fans want. We just want a game that is entertaining (which it is anyway without the AFL’s BS) and that where we can fully understand the rules.
Occasionally someone comes around and does a Joel Bowden and makes it essential to make amendments on the fly. The majority of changes the AFL has made to rules/interpretations nobody asked for or desired though.
I'm surprised to see that there isn't a vomit reaction.

What was particularly wrong and foul about the Cripps Brownlow rort was that it rested on the back of a procedural fairness technicality. In any other rule-bound system on the planet, when a ruling is found suspect owing to procedural fairness, it doesn't get over-ruled or waved away, it gets sent back to the jurisidiction of origin to be re-tried fairly.

To be fair. He has been on borrowed time for 18 months
true, but once it starts coming out of your own players you are pretty cooked
he has had some puzzling reactions (or lack of reactions) to how his team has performed
