At some point, the AFL are going to need to send a message to Harley to cut out the back chat to the umpires.
The umpires have been giving him far too much leniency in this regard but it is surely starting to send a bad signal out there. I thought the umpires were supposed to be strong on players remonstrating decisions, yet it appears Harley does this many times a game, every week with no consequence.
I am sure the same conduct would not be tolerated by a first season Freo player.

I always thought the dissent rule needed to add a warning as an option.
Then an umpire can choose to give a warning first and leave it at that or if the player continues they can give a 50m.

If the ump feels the language and body language is so strong they can still opt for straight to a 50m.

I do have Reid , Was looking to bail this week but had a more pressing issue to fix in my team , Next week for sure.
A lot of Eagles supporters are on board with Simmo saying nothing to see here with the tackle thing.
I ask them to have a look at Serong's tackle on Cerra last year , Caleb copped a week for it , Harley's is more reckless and impact with the ground more forceful.
If Caleb's was one put Harley down for 2.

The other side of the coin from an equally delusional fan is they won't suspend him to ensure that the best player gets the rising star award.
For anyone to truly believe that the AFL will interfere with this to get the result they want is stupid even for that bunch.
