5.15pm Grand final start time. Not sure I like it.
Perth Stadium and Perth in the background will look amazing on the Telly. Let's be honest, that's what it's all about.

Matthew Parker has been cleared by the WAFC to play for Sowfs in the WAFL finals before heading back to Richmond for 2022.

Ellis is right though, if there is risk of terrorist activity, the GF shouldn’t be happening

Sorry if i am being naive but a terrorist attack am i missing something no one can enter WA anyway ffs.

And why the hell would that possibilty even be spoken about and released to the public. What is it more disgraceful fear mongering to justify a decision.

Just say it's covid related

Its not even that, its a money making thing. Parades cost money and are a free entry, they are doing a ticketed event instead.

It's blatant bullshit

Did anyone see this? Not hard to work out who Barich is referring to - Mr Garry Lyon (the only Captain at Melbourne during Charles' time there):

“The AFL weren’t used to indigenous players and what happened to Chris Lewis and what some of the players did, some of the stars that I can mention now, in the media, massive names, what they said to our man was a disgrace.

“They had an Indigenous player on their team and there was one Melbourne star, I won’t say his name, he was their captain I remember.

“He vilified Lewis and there was a guy by the name Sean Charles playing for Melbourne and I I could see Charles going, ‘ oh my god am I on this guy’s side because I’m Aboriginal or am I on this guy’s side because I’m Melbourne.

“He’s called him a ‘blah blah blah’ - ‘but that’s me, I’m one of them too, does he hate me like that?’”

Yep. Barich probably mixes up a lot of instances and the times they occured in those podcasts to make his annecdotes seem more interesting and first hand, but I can remember when Garry Lyon gave his faux apology on the Footy Show he mentioned that when he was racially abusing Chris Lewis - Lewis had pointed out that there was an aboriginal player (Sean Charles) in the Melbourne team that could also hear what he was saying.

Typical Eagles thing to do . Melbourne are on the brink of their first Premiership. And they want make the headlines all about them.

Lyon & Todd Viney were no angels.

They were told at the time about these verbal attacks being distasteful, but they didn’t back down or apologise. If you read the full article, you see that Barra mentions that coming from a WAFL background, you never slandered the indigenous players as you’d get ground into the turf by TI, Basil or Maurice

Chris Lewis was a damn fine footballer, who has been tagged by some as a thug. Never was a thug, he stood up for himself and was generally returning fire.
