What an achievement. I remember before the Swans trade and there was speculation he'd come to us, I was chatting to him at a mate's place. He was wearing pink budgies, as ya do.

I said (I was a few cups deep) "hey mate you better be in purple next year instead of pink"

And he said "yeah mate, anything but blue n yella but i prefer pink"

I think that was a hint about white n red looking back.

Anyway, he's a legend.

Played with and against Buddy back when he was a teen. Talented as hell but I thought he was overated with a fig jam attitude.
