You do have to laugh at all the Adel fans leaping to his defence in the rumours thread ….absolutely blind loyalty

The ones defending it because the alleged victim whacked one of the crows sanfl players, are the worst. It's ok to racially abuse someone if they deserve it apparently :drunk:

Like they say - there is 3 sides to every story - yours - theirs - and the truth

Id wait for the truth to come out - before you put the blindfold on Tex and make him walk the plank

The fact his teammates dobbed him in pretty much confirms it for me. It would be different if it was someone from the general public who might have an agenda, or wants their face on tv.

Yep there’s no real salvaging from saying what he allegedly said, not even McGuire could spin that

I can only presume , as I don't know what he said ... I don find this case a little different to othgers in the past. The outcome will be noteworthy as I think this the first case a a comment not directed at the player? Id like to know exact details before posting a comment.

Was the person who he was talking to offended. Did someone over hear a private conversation.. seems different to classic situation where ignarance was hurled at the person.

Allegedly told Matt Coach [ who ended up reporting him ] in the team huddle to go and smash that black campaigner

Litrally? I thought someone mentioned Eddie McGuire and remembering his references in the past. Simian etc.

If he was reported by Crouch then that is better than someone over hearing the comments and reporting what they heard as I think that could be a Pandora's box situation for private comments.

It would seem at the very least... dumb. I gave up calling blokes nicknames years ago as it was just too ambiguous. Guys with nicknames like Piggy or Horse were suddenly Peter and Paul... so something like what you have mentioned should never have left his mouth in this current era. He may have been angry or what ever about an on field incident but it really doesn't forgive the utterance

From what is reported he said it to the whole group (hence over ten witness ect) with that specific remark being aimed at Crouch, not a lot of details at the moment but if what is allegedly said is true then I’d say Taylor deserves everything that’ll come his way for this l.

Dont tell me . The VFL is cancelled again. Have to say Im getting frustrated at the whole situation, just where did it come from thsi time and how did they get it.

3 cases under investigation as there's currently no clear link to the current known outbreaks but they're hoping to find the link

3 day lock down here we come ...

and I doubt there will any precise explanation about who has done what. The Press conference today gave me the feeling of a message being spun.

EDIT : 5 DAY

I think I would like a lot of details... in this era we tend to hang them before the trial. Just being mention in relation to this stuff paints a heavy tar brush. .... but if we say that where there is smoke , there must be cod... then after what the the two SA clubs presented not long ago... it seems extraordinary stupid.

In the end, though, Eddie couldn't even spin the claptrap he came up with to justify his puerile comments concerning Goodes. The footage of him sitting dumbstruck during 'The Australian Dream' while his own poisonous words were played back to him verbatim is one of the most telling moments in cinema that I have ever witnessed.

Truly without any semblance of decency or any form of excuse. Like so many before him. And, sadly, so many since as well.

Soms tosser ignored the fact he needed a permit, and flew to Tassie out of NSW.

They got him on arrival, tested him, and the idiot tested positive. Now they have a plane load of exposed people running around the state, which hasn't had a positive case for nigh on 12 months.

I'd venture that racism exists in just about every society on earth, but the constant media coverage, education and heightened awareness about the issue in Australian society makes Walker's words - if true - both extremely idiotic and incomprehensible.

There's no excuse for him if it's proven true.

Racism definitely exists in so many forms right around the globe. And the fact that Walker's actions here are defended in any way by anyone tells you we have an enormously long way to go in making for a kinder and fairer society here in Australia, at the very least.

I'm sure many people (perhaps including Tex himself) can't really see what all the fuss is about. And it's actually that casual (yet incredibly callous) nature in all of this that makes the task of overcoming racism even more difficult.

Honestly ..at time can almost understand how fascism appeals to people ... maybe they had it right in the old days pillory and stocks....

You certainly have to question how he ever became a "leader" at the club, let alone captain..

I know one could debate the whole concept of what defines racism but is it that hard to just move from using certain terms when its acknowledged so widely that its unacceptable and divisive.

Both SA clubs and especially the CRows have had more education on this than most ... I don't think you can educate much more than has been done

That's precisely the point, Turbo. The issue is not about whether you can change people's minds. It's about whether you can change their hearts.

Walker has had a respectable career, even for a meathead. But this is going to tarnish it. He really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I don't know how you can come to that conclusion. He seems to be such an intelligent person...

Oh wait, nevermind. You were right after all.
