Hope so.Outperforming is the word. They will go back to their average once they play against a strong team with a system.
Their small punchable forwards could trouble us. Still, we need to beat all comers so bring it on.

What a load of rubbish. Seriously. They won like 12 games in a row. beat melbourne and very unlucky not to beat us. they arent even the worst top 4 team this year.To be fair we'll also be playing arguably the worst top 4 team since North in 07...
So Sydney can get a home final if they keep scoring
I reckon there was another year we were pretty average and pumped up by a heap of close wins as well actuallyHawthorn 2018 were pretty rubbish too. Same with Geelong 2014.
Nope.
The self belief from bearing a completely overrated Collingwood team at the MCG will be through the roof. It's a mental barrier we haven't overcome with inferior teams, playing better teams.
What you're displaying here is irrational fear based on previous results with different Geelong sides. I can assure you that is completely normal.
If they were very unlucky not to beat us how do you describe the 11 game winning streak full of less than 2 goal victories (besides Melbourne, facing no good sides)? What a load of rubbish. Seriously. Whatever the year we went out in straight sets was... Which coincidentally is what the Pies will do this year2014 IIRC, similar to pies we won a bunch of close games against lesser sides and limped into top 4 with a percentage like 114 or something.

Collingwood are an easier match up than Melbourne, Sydney and potentially even Freo. I genuinely believe they've done a Houdini this year. Their brand won't hold up against quality teams in a final. The only irrationality here is the idea that it's somehow a good thing to face a tougher run of games than to face an easier run of games. How is this not completely self-evident?
Playing an awful Hawthorn in 2016 didn't help us beat a legitimate premiership threat in Sydney in the prelim. Freo would have been as good as a bye - I'm not arguing that point. The only irrationality here is the idea that it's somehow a good thing to face a tougher run of games than to face an easier run of games. I think they've just been insanely lucky. Percentage of 104 is ridiculous for a top 4 finish. They scrape over the line regularly because they play almost all their games at their home ground, and they've had a soft draw because of their 17th finish last year. Carlton should have won that game. Pies didn't win it. Carlton lost it. Same is true for many of their games this year. They will lose comfortably next month I think. What a load of rubbish. Seriously. They won like 12 games in a row. beat melbourne and very unlucky not to beat us. they arent even the worst top 4 team this year.
By that metric, beating a woeful WCE in 2011 didn't stop us beating a Collingwood team who had dropped 2 games for the season in a GF.Playing an awful Hawthorn in 2016 didn't help us beat a legitimate premiership threat in Sydney in the prelim. This Collingwood team is still worse than that Hawthorn team, or probably any team Scott's Cats have faced in a QF. Honestly, stop crying and throwing your toys out of the pram. You're embarrassing yourself.
Yep. This Pies team are at the level of that Geelong side. They have played fairly poorly in most games that haven't been against Melbourne this year.2014 IIRC, similar to pies we won a bunch of close games against lesser sides and limped into top 4 with a percentage like 114 or something.

see the bit where you typed top 11 game winning streak? And it was in the back half of the season leading into finals. Thats your answer. If they were very unlucky not to beat us how do you describe the 11 game winning streak full of less than 2 goal victories (besides Melbourne, facing no good sides)?
None with a worse percentage have made the top 4. So statistically, for points scored Vs against differential over an entire season, they are the worst ever.see the bit where you typed top 11 game winning streak? And it was in the back half of the season leading into finals.
there have been teams that have made the top four with best winning streaks of only 5 games in a season. Possibly even less.
Well it's either the reigning premiers who did have a 10 game winning streak themselves, Swans who comfortably handled the Pies literally last week.. Or us, who beat them coming from a nightmare quarter, have won 13 straight and finished 2 games clear on topWhich one of us, Melbourne and Sydney are worse than Collingwood?
The streak of games isn't the significant factor though - the margins are. Close games are a coin toss. The pies are like that mate who doubles up 8 times in a row on the roulette table. It's not going to work in the finals.see the bit where you typed top 11 game winning streak? And it was in the back half of the season leading into finals.
