Collingwood are not a good side.Absolutely pathetic Carlton.
Can't wait to play a fired-up Collingwood team at their home ground in two weeks. Such a great reward for finishing two games clear at the top of the ladder.
Unless the Aints get up.
First week of finals shaping to be great:
Cats v Freo
Dees v Swans
Lions v Blues
Pies v Tigets
Excellent for MCC members
We'll play Sydney or Richmond with a solid hit out in the bank now, and get rid of our MCG tenant finals hoodoo. Handy as we're going to have to beat Melbourne at some point.Carlton just slaughtered our easiest possible run to a flag.
Better be because they don't lose the close ones. Not only do we have the pies covered, it won't be close.
This is the key. Need to put them to the sword on the scoreboard early and kill their hope of a comeback late. Not only do we have the pies covered, it won't be close.
Pies go in bursts. Blues might win but unless they are 30 up in the last no faith in them not bottling a lead.
Outperforming is the word. They will go back to their average once they play against a strong team with a system. Not sure happy about playing the pies with a lot of confidence players seemingly outperforming…Dangerous for us
To be fair we'll also be playing arguably the worst top 4 team since North in 07...Absolutely pathetic Carlton.

Geelong have been strong for last quarters this season I believe. Including clutch finishes against Tigers and Port when it looked like it had slipped. This is the key. Need to put them to the sword on the scoreboard early and kill their hope of a comeback late.
Because if we leave the door ajar, they will roll over the top.

Nope. The "you need to have a tough game first up" theory is such a bizarre way to rationalise bad outcomes being better than good outcomes.
How about instead of coming up with galaxy-brained reasons why having a harder route to a premiership is actually a positive, we apply Occam's Razor and accept the wacky notion that easier games = an higher chance of us winning the flag. We've gone from playing in front of an almost entirely pro-Geelong crowd against an interstate club to playing an away game against an MCG tenant riding a wave of momentum. In no sense is that a good thing.
