Aish putting the clamps on Oliver FFS. Hurts on a number of levels
Aish is now a very good player whatever role you give him. Haven't seen a game this year where I haven't been impressed.

He had the breeding , really a matter of him getting stronger and focusing on footy. Not disappointed we lost him, it's a long time ago now.

Yeah its mostly the job he is doing tonight. Shows it can be done. Sure, they aren't winning but if Aish can take it up to Oliver, surely one of our players can do the same.

I remember watching the Melbourne v Cats game a few weeks ago and Guthrie had a massive crack at Viney physically. Belted him a number of times, didn't take a backward step.

I hope our crew is taking notes......

Melbourne's best is still the best in the comp but they have been flakey of late. Choosing what games to get up for is fraught with danger and they are going to get caught out in one of these upcoming games.

He shut him down earlier in the year as well. Oliver had 24 disposals to half time, and Aish kept him to 12 after the break. Aisho is doing something right against Oliver that's for sure.

Langdon there is the epitome of Melbourne. Out of position, got a touch, followed up anyway and ends up winning the ball.

He's very much a defender based on what I've seen.
He's playing the McStay role for Freo of late. If we are looking at him as a defender we will be over-stoked with, Payne, Adams, Gardner, Andrews etc...

At least we led at 1/4 time before being spanked, Freo never looked like it

We got the best version of Melbourne when they spanked us earlier this year. And we had some significant outs.

Freo somehow got the worst version of Melbourne in the second half when they beat them in Melbourne.

Tonight Freo got the average version of Melbourne and they didn't come close on their home ground.

We are better than Freo.

If we can get our shit together, we are in this Premiership race

Logue is a downgrade on McStay if tonight's performance is a sample.
Watched him fairly closely the past couple of games (well as best you can on TV), apart from about 15 minutes of the game when he was kept quiet by May, he was marked by mostly Hibberd (hardly a superstar) and at times Petty. May was marking Lobb who spent most of the game forward.

Logue's attempt at goal in the 3rd Q was poor, kicking it into the man on the mark. Imagine if that was Fullarton...

I don't think Logue is our answer to McStay. Logue has played forward in a number of his 15 games this year and has not been a threat scoring two goals (including tonight) in the last six games.
