I thought as much. The half-American half-Aussie accent was a bit of a giveaway.
Now that the jumper has been released, it looks as bad as you can imagine. Basically just a red jumper with a very subtle logo in a slightly lighter shade of red.
It's utter garbage.
Imagine paying someone big money to come up with that!! Just remove them from the comp already.

The logo is bad, but you also cant see it with red on red. Terrible rebrand all round
The clash jumper also doesnt work as its 70% blue from front and side but then a yellow front (which will still look poor against us, Sydney and the giants). The AFL still cant get clash uniforms working (although we are guilty of that too)
Also massive failure with their CEO I think it was saying he would be gutted if the logo was what was leaked. So either he didnt know and is bagging it out, or he hates the logo or... I cant figure out what they were doing

Could that not be a training top or is that an actual unveil?
That new logo is barely visible if that is it.
Are they sure they don't want to adopt a jumper with blue and white vertical stripes and get a ready made support base in the north of Melbourne?

I was open minded about the logo, but the jumper is awful. It would be a bad training shirt. I'm surprised they didn't do some kind of public consultation first.

I actually don't think it is. Hence the grandfinal and giants games looked off.
We would do much better to at least wear red or blue shorts instead of wearing white shorts
