Bundoora $4 and $3
Late rumour a former Caarrton midfielder seen talking to players in the car park at Yulong. Hmm was he just checking out the 'landscaping':D

Heard during the week that the Montmorency Senior football Club cancelled the annual U/23 game v Lower Plenty to raise money for the education of the young kids of Terry Paterson(life member at both clubs) because the council finally ended the tenancy of the Mont Juniors at the Lower pavillion. Probably says alot about Mont that there alleged response was, "we don`t give a shit"! Well hope it bites you on the arse big time! Congratulations to those who have volunteered to donate and do the right thing, and contribute financially to provide accordingly!

I'm pretty sure Macleod are charging $4 for heavies and $3 for lights.
Can't see the point in mucking around with 20 cents change everytime someone buys a beer........

Agreed there, no need for 10's and 20's to find their way into tills ... Just ends up a mess. Most clubs are at 4 and 3.50 a light. Have some plans on the radar. Organizing some options with steve and Mick, we may be able to get a temporary set up for ya while your finishing up the extensions...

Went and watched Mont and Balwyn on Sat,pretty good game. Mont look pretty sharp with a couple still out, think Balwyn had a few out, game ended in a draw. Bergs will have to be on their toes next Sat. Gee that Tennant is a good player, would be playing Symes or Kennedy as a negating forward if i was coach, anyway a bit of food for thought.

Was cleaning out the old folks garage recently and came across this copy of an old Record and thought people might be interested to see the front cover. Twenty years ago. I think the picture is from the 1990 Grand Final. Names of players ?

Yes a good hit out for Mont - report here is any interest:

Word around the camp fire is that all three of the Roosters gun recruits will be playing against the Bulls this week. What a blockbuster. I'm almost tempted to go watch that game!

With Mont looking to go two in a row against the Bergs should be a cracking round 1.

i was only 12 in 1990 but used to go and watch Bundoora every week with the old man. Think the guy in the helmet is Wally Lovett and pretty sure it's Tony Boyd going for the mark in front. No idea the Heidelberg bloke....

Guy in the helmet is the great Marty Kemp I reckon latemail

Any truth to the word of C.Cloke being on 50K for the season??? seems like a bit to much cash for local footy for a mediocre AFL footballer.

Well they will do anything to win that elusive flag, and by doing "anything" this season they WILL win it, be fantastic if they can play WPL in the GF

Your probably right, hard to see what jumper the guy has on. Lovett was the only guy i knew who used to wear a helmet at Bundoora.

Tony Boyd was a very good player - (older brother of Brad - Fitzroy and Brisbane) but not sure he needed 3 blokes going aginst him:D

From the H'Berg website...the Tiges playing possum??

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS
03 Apr 2011

The Tiger's are now less than a week away from our huge round 1 away clash against Montmorency.

Montmorency have had solid build up to their 2011 campaign, facing off against Keilor, Shep Swans and most recently EFL powerhouse Balwyn in what ended in a draw.

Having retained the majority of their 2010 list as well as adding a number of high quality players including former East Fremantle defender Andrew Macpherson, ex-Blue and Mansfield Premiership player Craig Flint and Marby Park star Ben Haynes the Magpies take an ominous looking list into the new season.

The Para Road ground looks to be in pristine condition, which should make for a fast paced and free flowing game come April 9th.

The Tiger's have had mixed preparations with just the two practice games against Oak Park and Blackburn respectively, both of which the Tiger's won by small margins.

Heidelberg have also suffered multiple setbacks during the pre-season calendar with injuries to champion centre half back Dale Nolan and perhaps more seriously to Fabian Dorbolo and Jake Williams who are both out indefinitely. Nolan is less than a 50/50 chance to play this week against the Mont machine.

During all this has been a somewhat rushed attempt to salvage the Warringal Park Oval that for a while was in an unplayable condition, forcing the Tiger's to train across the road at Heidelberg Park. The ground now looks to be finally on the mend and will be available for our first home match - round 2 versus Greensborough.

My thoughts no one will get too close to Bundoora this season, have had great back half for a couple of years and now with the fantastic forward line they have now assembled being fed by their gun midfield, they look awesome and will be real difficult to knock off this season

Whittlesea people have been very quiet on Bigfooty......Are they ready for Division 1 ?.....have they recruited well enough survive.?.......Is this week's game against Macleod their best chance to register a win ?.........
