Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Just need a good run with injuries (as all clubs want), becasue the effort and committment from all players is definitely there.

I would hope so at this time of the year!! Would expect this to be the case at the majority of Clubs.

you'd know a fair bit more than what i would saj, i hear that luke darcy may be heading down to training and there may be a slight possibility of him having a run, nate llywellen has been looking sharp also, should be a stand out for lower this year

i dont think we are talking ourselves up mate, the season is still a while away and its just a bit of a laugh to get some life back in this thread, uve probably stated it before but i cbf looking back threw, which club are u from and how are use looking, i dont think use would be training the house down like our very own nathan "chalky" llywellen

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

says on north heidelberg website that they were suppose to play a practice match against macleod.did this happen or should the date have read march 15th instead of feb 15th?

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Training Watch: Caught about 30 minutes of the Fitzroy Stars training again last night. They had good numbers on track yet again and have a few players that look very capable. Don't think they will be as bad as people say.

Any other news from around the traps??

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Searching for a practice match 15th March. Hoppers Crossing Football Club

Late notice but a practice game has been cancelled against us due to ground restrictions.

Thanks

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Fitzroy Stars had an intra club match tonight. Went well, had around 45-50 show up and pull the boots on. Skills were good and the run some of the players had were great. Positive crowds also, would have been about another 40 just having a look, so i have no doubt we can draw alot of fans to our games.

great hit out, pulled up ok FS. although preston rsl ground is rock solid, and the turn up was good to see, did anyone from divy 2 venture down on wed night as there was a few supporters, if so, what's you opinion, would we be competitive enough.

thanks for your reply, they weren't our rucks, but they could fill that position, our ruck is yet to train due to other commitments, but we hope he rocks up soon maybe on the 15th against Parkside

Has your jumper design been confirmed? Sorry, but if it has I may have missed this.

Adam Goodes has been training the house down in Sydney ( he will call to confirm his availability for Round 1 soon).

Failing that, Perhaps you could recruit Nathan Jawai - Nicknamed Baby Shaq (see pic), who at 6'10 & 130kgs would certainly fill the big man role. :D:D:D

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Interesting observations coming out of the Fitztroy Stars camp. The Macleod boys continue to have a solid pre-season and I am confident of another promising year ahead.
Apart from news from Fitzroy Stars, anyone else have anything to report. I saw that Whittlesea have had 2 praccy games already, anyone from there want to give us an update?
And Ghost Writer...haven't had a report from you on Thomastown in a while..you gone cold on your mate Sinclair or something? 2 reports from the Fitzroy Stars in as many weeks and nothing about Thomastown?? Puffa is dead keen on this half time sprint between himself and Dean Sinclair ahead of our Round 5 clash.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Whittlesea knocked off creek a week ago by 6 goals and went down by 2 goals to borough with a few players missing on the weekend. I think they'll take some tossing. Finals hoodoos are their biggest hurdle, but making them should be a breeze..

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

CLEOD 9: If you paid attention to my posts, you would note that I try and get around to many clubs in Divvy 2, not just Thomastown.
What practice games do Macleod have coming up? Would be very interested to see your boys in action.
When do you guys revert back to Tuesday/Thursday training?
Good results from Whittlesea and they will definitely be one of the teams to beat this year.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Wallan are playing Whittlesea in a practice match this Sunday at Wallan. Just wondering if anyone knows any pick ups or departures Whittlesea have had.

Cheers.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

South Morang,

Haven't heard much about them since, they cleaned out a few players who have vastly improved Whittlesea's mid field.

After their " record year ", are they going to slip down the ladder or improve ?, a few strange practice games, so far nothing to get excited about & seems to be the same old crew trying to pull up socks that are too short !!!!!!...

Sorry not having a stab, but those players left, they were never 'cleaned' out.
