Re: Northern Football League Division 2

could anyone tell me much about heidelberg west football club.i notice they only won 2 games last year.have they made the finals in recent years, what sort of club are they to play against.cheers...

Heidelberg West are unfortunately the most unsuccessful club in the league. They have won 1 senior premiership (1941), 1 reserves premiership (1955) and 1 thirds premiership (1966). Certainly a long time between drinks.

One must admire their persistance to keep their club going, despite their lack of success.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

hey anyone know the name Peter Bugden, he is the new coach of whittlesea never heard of him just wondering if anyone has got and info or stats on him

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

i think u will find peter bugden is from south morang pretty shore he coached u19 there
Correct.
Has been Assitant of seniors, under 19's coach and this year under 17's coach.

Top notch coach.
Very smart, very observant, very positive, very personable, extremely well planned so much so I would say he would have all training sessions planned by now.

Whittlesea have already had a massive win over Morang with the hiring of Pete Bugden.
I would say they could go a few more up before pre season even starts.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

HAMMY IS THE STIFFEST BLOKE IN THE WORLD.

I witnessed some of his coahinsg talks and speeches during the year. As well as overheard his advice and suggestions in regards to the senior team. I was imprssed with him and his way about things. I did now know that was his name, or that we is now W'Sea coach. And i also do not know him personally. Although from what i witnessed during the year passed, I would be confident that he is quite capable of the gig.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Yeah i think Hammy is quite stiff, only needed one more year with him and i reckon they would have won it, as for this new coach, will have to be real good for me to stay there, iv had plenty offers back here in eastern league, just see what happens now:confused:

Its a win because Whittlesea have signed a gun coach. A coach who was at Morang and wanted to coach at Morang.

It's only early but the rumor mill has started

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

It may be hard to fathom now, but Heidelberg West were once in Division One, and in their early years in Division Two they did have some success.

And although it's been a bad run for them in recent times, their (and Panton Hill, who have only one two premierships in 1934 & 1955 & Junior flags in 1964 & 1965) committee & players should be admired for fighting the good fight because it's much harder to run an unsuccessful team on the field than to
run a club with on field success.
