Re: Northern Football League Division 2

just returned from a cracker of a game at morang between the lions and resservoir, this game had everything, yellow cards, red cards and even a head count at one stage:eek::eek: morang dominated most of the game with their young players dominating the game, one young bloke kicking 10+.
final scores morang 173 def reservoir 111
better players were tennant brown dupes dilalla and dowell

What an effort, four 17 year olds and four 18 year olds in the side the future looks rosy for South Morang ). A 17 year old kicked 11 goals ( Damian Di Lalla ) . Does anybody know if anybody has done that in the past DVFL days.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

would like to say that yesterday was one of the most emotional days in football that i have witnessed in 28 years of playin and watchin football to those that witnessed terry patterson walk onto the lower plenty football ground to a guard of honour and toss the coin bought a tear to most involed in terrys life. terry is one of the most respected blokes that i no and would like to thank terry for being in my life for the last 9 years and whish him all the best in his remaining time he has to go in life. i aint be involved at lower for 4 years now but would like to thank the club for the day it put together for terry and for the people that showed up to pass on there regards to terry and to pantan hill for there support of the day.

Well said mate,

I have been involved at Lower since 96, it was fitting that it was community football weekend because no one has done more for Lower Plenty Football Club in my time and I dare say previously than Terry Paterson. It was a fantastic way to pay tribute to a great man who has influenced and inspired many in there time at Lower, his courage and spirit was on show for all to see yesterday and all those who attended (and there were plenty) would have walked away acknowleding that it was one of the most emotional times that life let alone sport has seen.

To the Lower Plenty Football Club, it`s players and supporters did Terry a tremendous honour yesterday which will stay in our thoughts forever.

To the Panton Hill Football Club, you are a great club which showed tremendous respect and compassion yesterday which will also not be forgotten.

And to Terry Paterson, thanks for reminding me and everyone else why local sport is so important to be part of. I have not known anyone with more courage nor spirit in life in my memory. I know you will continue to fight the greatest of fights right till the final siren, and as a football club we will do for you as you have done for us. Stand right beside you!

Cheers all.

totally agree silvergun, very emotional day for all involved at lower, that win was for terry, before and after the game i dont think there was a dry eye in the rooms, terry is a great bloke and it was a great honour to pull on the lower jumper yesterday knowing what it means to terry.

Reminds me of some of the talk i heard on Macleod last year.....

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Although Whittlesea are easily 5 goals better then anyone we have played this year and so far LOOK the best team my tip for the flag atm is Thomastown. Similar to the Lalor of last year they have good team chemistry with alot of the players coming up through the junior ranks. Like the old saying goes, A team of champions will always get beaten by a champion team.

Not sure how old nixon is from Whittlesea but he kicked 7 in the 19's then 12 in the seniors.

RAAV maybe you can shed some light.

Sounds like a good weekend for the kids.

GUESS WHO"S BACK?
well I suppose ill let all my friends (mainly junior29) know that i have been overseas for the last 12 months, but i have been keeping up to date with all the going ons of the wonderful northern football league..
Well lets get down to buisness its good to see that MACLEOD are still a bunch of chokers you bunch and little girls dominate all season then just crumble when the real stuff starts, you sucks! i just wanna know how you are travelling JUNIOR29 my little china plate? hows the finger nail coming along? well i guess ill speak to you all again soon!!

nicco played all the game in the seniors and 10 mins of each quarter in the 19's, good effort i dont think ive kicked 19 goals in my carreer let alone in one day.

not sure if he is playing this week as the 19's have a top of the table clash on friday against MACLEOD.

and great judds eagles nest doesnt even play for or support whittlesea, he is an x - player try to rock the boat, so dont get sucked in mate.:thumbsu:

and rocket, you would have been the happiest bloke on the earth sat night, beat epping and got made special mod, can your life get any better!!!!!!!:D:p catch round 15 bud, say hi to your bro for me.

Had a go at the interleague lineup, seems they may be short on backmen. Thoughts??

COLLINS BOX DYSON fb
WENDT KNEE COTTIER hb
A.BENNETT HOLLOW C.BROWN c
DRAKES SHAW BOOKER hf
CALAFIORE WILLITTS POWELL ff

TENNANT NANKERVIS HOCKEY ruck

BARDEN HOGG PARKER MCCARTHY bench

Is it true that all clubs in div 2 get a qouta of 2 players for the rep squad and players from last years team of the year? If so i think thats a joke !

So basically were not putting our best team on the park! Whittlesea, Thomastown, Macleod who have the better players in the league are denied the chance to represent the league.

I cant see how having 2 Hiedelberg West players for example is fair ?

what do you think guys?
