I would think it was a Kangaroos clue - icon of australia, and as mentioned, his nickname is Petrie Dish - 'The Dish' therefore Parkes Radio Telescope in NSW is a famous icon of Australia.

I still think Colbert for the reasons listed already. The clues for colbert seem to fit better when you think about how cryptic the clues in these competition are. Like third in victoria as in the third letter in victoria (C for Colbert) iconic (kangaroo) etc. But Drew Petrie also makes sense especially considering he is 197 centimeters.
