Interesting and probably pretty close. Previous post mentioned strength via merger? Obviously Corowa and Rutherglen had some sucess early after. Corowa(Rutherglen) I think won a flag early 2000's. Last few years? Struggle town. Doesn't answer or fix the basic question of putting a team or 3 on the park each week. Quite sadly something has gone wrong in the last 5? 10? Years . Maybe the question has to be asked of club administrators, league officials, and a very sad group of individual club supporters as to "who killed red robin"?
Sorry. "Who killed **** robin". Maybe not a typo

I'm not sure who to blame, a lot of players seem to come and go for many reasons, the club is currently doing a great job with the players they have got and besides it looking like a very doom and gloom situation at John Foord the young roos seem positive and loyal! Could be the start to some good building blocks for a future for the club.

Recognising that district football clubs have great systems, great coaches and great young talent would be a start. Put some time into travelling to these districts clubs, identify the talent and go after them. Once that's done, thank the club and send them some formal recognition that they appreciate that your club helped to make their own club stronger. Lately, the mood around the between the district clubs and Corowa has been somewhat adversarial where each views the other as competitors and not partners.

Interesting Akermanis wants to coach the Interleague side. A guy who consistently slags umpires, opposition clubs, places bans on attending opposition club function rooms after a game... the list goes on. Point 1, so you think that won't come back to bite him as far as players wanting to play if he is coach?, Point 2, The league got themselves in trouble last year with a coach who thought he was above all else, that wont be repeated again surely, Point 3, if the jungle drums are correct his contract wont be renewed, so they will be on the lookout for a coach again next year if appointed, Point 4, He himself has no loyalty, as shown in his Essendon self promotion that the Bombers were quite amused by. Another attempt of self promotion, and enhancing his brand. Surely the league will look to appoint someone who has the interest of the league, understands the culture required etc.

Surely our board can see we needs a better approach than Akermanis maybe Ben Hollands with help from Peter Tossol would be a more mature approach. If interleague is to survive we don't need clowns involved.

Think my point has moved off a length and gone through to wally. Mergers pointless. One good year? Points pointless! Caps pointless! The point is. Finish it yourselves! From pointer.

Thank you Akermanis for a very entertaining week. Loved it. O&M coach, and has better run programmes than Richmond. Takes an Albury twos player down there lol, Tigers would have brought a player back lol! Mmmmmm, the bloke with the neck tattoo, you'll do:):)

Can someone explain the points system to Cresswell and then explain them to me. The Border Mail website says Raiders have signed Adam Flagg and his brother. Aren't players from SANFL massive points.

Would have thought reserves games didn't constitute 5 points from memory its min of 5 senior games to be a 5 pointer -so other club O&M player would be 3 points. Although Thursday selections will need a calculator handy.

Cresswell certainly needs a lot of talent to make himself look like a good coach.

Albury scored more I think the Raiders out scored them in the last 2 quarters and maybe Mellington played early hard to pick him but different haircuts these young men come up with. Flaggs brother brother played but Raiders short down back, but this was Albury and with their talls that's going to happen to most clubs. Albury much closer to a best 22 than Raiders with no Neagle, Hetta, DiMizio, Jolliffe,
Flagg or Tangatlum. Williams was great down back had a bit of help from Shelley returning after a year off.

Border Mail website saying Pratt has left the Dogs. Did he win their B&F. He will be a big loss anyway.
I have the ladder looking like
Albury by 93 points in the Granny
Lavi
Yarra
Raiders
Wangaratta
Myrtleford
Nth Albury
Wodonga
Rovers
Corowa

What great season when every one probably knows the top 3 before a kick has been completed and more than likely the eventual winner good comp i think not

Well Raiders will struggle each week to fit guys in under the points. I've been informed that Jarrah was at training last night. So not sure how that will go down. The TAC twins will be very handy is what I've been told. Will Creswell have to pick one pointers even though they aren't up to it. They will make great bench warmers. Yarra shouldn't have a problem with points because half of the recuirts are returning players.
I wonder if anyone will chase Pratt after the Dogs cut him loose. ?
