I'd be going to Melbourne if I were Dawes, with Clark he'll probably get the 2nd best defender whereas with the Bulldogs he'll be drawing oppositions best defender.
I could definitely live with that. Martin has plenty to offer, although he'd probably be spending a fair bit of time in the VFL and only coming in if McEvoy or Stanley missed games. If Melbourne are looking for outside run and carry and someone who's marking is terrific, plus more experience, then they could do a lot worse than Ray, who was stiff to not play much more senior footy this year.

Rodan delisted by Port is a bit surprising to me. Is it worth Adelaide giving him one year since they will be playing finals next year.
So Port need to fill 11 spots, that's crazy.

Anyone surprised Port apparently couldn't get anything out of those delistees at the trade table? Even if it was just some combo of Surjan/Rodan/Banner and a pick for a slightly higher pick.

Surjan is tough as nails, I'd be going after him for that reason alone.

only one im even remotely surprised at was surjan's. rodan doesn't really bring much anymore, and you hardly recruit a player JUST to be the sub. surjan still has a bit in him if he gets fit, has that mongrel in him that a few clubs could benefit from.
