wow you are quick, I edited my post to 'part of 2012' in the seniors, what comp? Impressive none the less.

Josh plays for Sale in the Gipsland league. Also played country week fort his age group and made the team of the week. Should be playing for Gipsland in the TAC cup and likely Vic Country Representative in the U18 in a couple of years..

The Gipsland league is not exactly a shitty comp, be better than some of the NEAFL teams, at 15yrs old and kicking goals in the seniors is very impressive, looking forward to seeing him in the mighty red and white and not the maggie colours of Sale.

There was a mention of Josh Dunkley in Sunday's Herald-Sun. The Sale coach was talking about the best players this season (Scott Pendlebury's brother was one of them). He then added, "We've also got some good kids coming through. Josh Dunkley is only 15 years old and he's played almost every game".

I think Sale have the minor premiership wrapped up with a couple of games in hand. BTW Akermanis played a few games in the Gippsland League this season.

So he's a Marathon runner not a footballer ? Aerobic capacity is not immense football talent.
His football skills are just as impressive. A lot of people have great football skills, but lack athletic ability and fitness. You can also teach most football skills, and not everyone has great aerobic capacity. He broke down most of his opponents with his endurance. I am not sure how being fit is a bad thing?

Perris and Heeney are next years draft. No surprise no one from this year year made it on the main list.

Did anyone hear how Jack Willis, son of David Willis and Harrison Dyson son Kevin Dyson went with the Academy this year? They are only cygnets, around 10 or 11 years of age iirc.

David Willis and Kevin Dyson coached at the Eastern Bulldogs, or at least they did. I am not sure if that is still the case? Hopefully Jack has better luck than his Dad did after having to retire from that nasty neck knock in 92.

Onwards!

The GWS Academy intake has been published today. And includes guys from Pennant Hills and North Shore (which are in the Swans catchment area).
Does anyone know how that works ?
It looks like they're their clubs and that's not the determining factor. It's where they live (their local council) that determines whether they qualify for the Swans or GWS.
