Just saw Elliott Yeo lose his teeth in Saturdays game. Brutal!
Just hate seeing that kind of injury. Wonder what the damage would have been had he had his mouth guard in.

Always amazes me when players are taking a set shot at goal and they take out the mouth guard and put in their sock or shorts. What is that about ? Does having the mouth guard in put you off ??

The boys were talking about on 360 and apparently he had his mouthguard in his sock at the time.
Every player takes their mouthguard out when they take set shots on goal - must just be a comfort thing.

Might pay for him to put it back in his gob next time.

Mouthguard out helps you breathe and catch your breath easier...
Hadn't thought of that JK. That makes sense. Would be easy to forget to put the guard back in after the shot I would imagine.

It's a contact sport. For now anyway, so this sort of thing is going to happen.
I know it is an outcome of a contact sport but that kind of injury , when you see a blokes teeth flying out of his mouth , always makes me wince.

Bit like some of the horrific leg breaks that you see , I just find the vision painful to watch.

I think the $70K dentist cost is a lifetime cost resulting from the tooth-knock-out-age. I heard Terry Wallace on the radio this morning saying he is still forking out money on dental work resulting from stuff that happened in the 80s. I guess there must be ongoing maintenance or something for Yeo - can't imagine the initial cost would be that much.

Grinter.

Hmmm, would you trust him with it though? Where's he going to put it while he stands and waves his arms about? You'll go to get it back and he'll pull it out of his jocks or something. "There you go mate - safe and sound!" :D

Is anyone else thinking of Jason Lee in Mallrats?

The ol' stink-palm.
