Think Zac Dawson but a lot worse.. has scope to improve, but has not shown much at AFL level so far. Jury still out as to if he is going to make it as an AFL player. Can some of you guys tell me what you think of him as a player? I think he has talent but will take a while...on the Eagles board the common theme is 'he's shit'.
Freo tried to get him as a F/S pick.Nobody will want Bootsma for a good price.
We'd be lucky to walk away with a 3rd round pick.
Well a lot of people owe Watson an apology after the bagging he got for that game then.Jesse Hogan a 17yo not eligible to play AFL kicked 6 goals on Bootsma in the VFL.. That is all you need to know.

And me. The poster in question obviously doesn't read the Northern Blues thread given Watson's performance on Hogan came under the BF microscope.Beat me to it Sin.
Maybe we should recruit a team of players who are all dragged to the last line. This would leave us with first use out of the centre and an incredibly open forward line....
Problem with those two is they were played too early with bodies like 15 year old girls. Hard to asses the ability in someone when they're physically not ready to play.

Hhmmmmm don't know which way to take that quote
Yeah it would seem/read that way, if indeed the club has not told him he was being shopped around, I would be pretty pissed too. He's being traded is my take, and mighty pissed off the club didn't tell him before he rubbished the rumours publicly late last week
Hearing that Bootsma and Yarran get found out being dragged to the last line of defense got me thinking.

His manager would seem to not be blameless in this as well. He reportedly met with the club this morning & has subsequently told the AFL website Boots could be traded to the Eagles (or otherwise stay at Carlton). This indicates 2 possible scenarios in my mind; the club has expressed interest in an Eagles player/draft pick & offered up Boots as a trade, or Boots' manager/the club has fielded interest from the Eagles. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not, regardless of whether Boots is traded or not. He's being traded is my take, and mighty pissed off the club didn't tell him before he rubbished the rumours publicly late last week
