Casboult will be a gun! Has shown plenty in his 10 odd games for the Blues. Can't believe people are questioning his output. Put 40 more games into him and we have a finals ready key forward.

Tit for tat - Hampson and Casboult each have their limitations as 2nd ruck/forward.

One thing's certain - Rowe, Hampson, Casboult and Warnock won't all survive into 2014. Player agents will all seek the best deals for their clients - it may be a case of who decides to leave for more cash and greater opportunities.

I would have Casboult as my no.1 on that list.

One of the ruckman will go IMO.

And not sure how safe Mitchell would be. Seems to have plenty of fans here (and I know he has had injuries) but in his 3rd year now and still hasnt really delivered.

How well did Josh Kennedy go in his first 3 years and Mitchell has has a lot more injury issues than big Josh.

Would people be up in arms if we could get value for both Hampson and Warnock via trades, and picked up a younger prospect via other means?

I think having either player on the list doesnt really do them justice.

Then using both the draft, and rookie draft get a couple young ruck prospects.

I'd trade either to the GWS for a promising young key position tall like Jaksch.

Your criticism is a long way off.

Suspect you're just talking Levi down for the sake of your man Hampson.

You,d be wrong. Stats back me up on this as well, but as I see you told jeremias further down, thats apparently not fair either. Marking down back was not a problem for us with Henderson and Jamison holding that down pretty damn well. Marking inside 50 IS a problem for us that Casboult is not solving at this time, whether by design or inability I dont know, but it doesnt change the fact never the less.

And Hampson has nothing to do with this.

Not a fair comparison considering how much time they spend inside the forward 50.
Sorry J, that wasn't what I was trying to convey. I think there was mention previously that Cas wasn't taking marks inside 50. I guess I was trying to make the point that most ahead of him were spending more time there.

We'll see at the end of the season. We either keep the faith in him, or start from scratch - knowing that Waite's time is limited. Clearing out one or two of the above may see him given more game time...

Anyway, I was really just listing those with trade value. Each of those have shown at least something at senior level to demand between a 2nd-5th round pick. Delisting Mitchell doesn't improve our draft order.

You are letting Caz off here. Zero touches after half time is unacceptable. In fairness Rowe and Waite weren't much better. What was worse is that they didn't even bring the ball to ground.

To me that was a key in the turn around of fortunes in the second half of the game.

The key turn around was the fact that whenever Hawthorn applied heavy forward pressure our mids would just bomb it down which meant Casboult was stuck under the ball with three Hawks players around since they knew we were going to always kick it in his direction. Waite get taken out of the game by Gibson was just amazing though.

Mitchell is safe as houses. Still an unproven quantity. But he is developing well, in spite of the injuries he has suffered. Could string a number of senior games together towards the back end of the year if he stays healthy.

6 marks inside 50 for Casboult this season according to stats on CFC website. Average of more than one per game. Waite, Betts, Hampson, Rowe, Garlett and Kreuzer all average more marks inside 50 than Cas.

Has 24 marks from the from last three games with two of those games against top four opposition. Should have kicked two goals against a top two team in Hawthorn from good inside 50 marks as well.

Agreed. The big guys take time we know that. Just throwing up the idea. I'd love nothing more than Luke developing into our no.1 forward. We'll see.

Just cant see us keeping the faith with all our KPPs. Perhaps Rowe who is out of contract at years end may be the one. Rookie spot perhaps?

Casboult isn't playing closer to goal, so how can you judge his marking inside 50?

Stats mean very little in light of Carlton having three big men plus Waite rotating through the forwardline against Hawthorn.

Still believe you want Hampson in the side to take over Casboult or Rowe.

While this is certainly true to a point, I don't think our talls judged the ball well and were worked under the ball too easily.

And how many games has Cas played this year?
