This free agency compensation is an absolute disgrace, hawthorn getting pick 19 for franklin and then melbourne receiving a pick 23 for sylvia.
Furthermore, if Vince is worth pick 23 for Melbourne to hand over, I just do not understand how is Brisbane insisting on pick 28 for Docherty while we offered them pick 29. This just shows the desperation from that club, they're in real trouble.

Of the three Dal Santo is the one I'd be most satisfied with. He doesn't need to be the out and out champion that he was to play his role at North. Just needs to provide them some class - their grunt will do the rest for him.

Essendon desperate to win a flag to deflect the public opinion. Personally, I think if they come close it'll make it worse. Perhaps they don't care at this point.

As for Adelaide... That's a weird one. They were struggling this year before Walker's injury. They would have been better off investing that money into a younger player. Instead, they get a player who will serve as protection for Walker whilst he recovers fully from the injury. Problem is he's not a world beater and I feel that they already had players that could do that for Tex. He's just a lovely story hanging on.

You really think that so vehemently? Uncontracted or not they are on a clubs list and sometimes invested high picks and development time into them.

Understanding (to a point) the nature of F.A. no-one expected us to receive any compo for Betts.

We knew what we were dealing with and the good outweighs the bad whichever way.

Don't think it's too outrageous to claim GWS are doing the right thing. Adams is worth more than Shaw, not to mention Collingwood want to get rid of Shaw.

Would be content with our first rounder for Adams though I'm sure Collingwood will come to their senses. Maybe not downgrading their first pick but perhaps their second.

So Buddy is worth as much as Dal Santo and Sylvia, but less than Dale Thomas.

Going by age and contract at new club size... Buddy should have garnered a compo pick around the #2 or #3 mark and pick #19... after all... what did the Geebungs get for gablett?

Perhaps no intention of trading with the blues.
