I’d really like to see Lyon coach us next season, I think he’d be a really good fit and not cost us an arm and a leg. His game plan strength seems to compliment our current weakness.
It will suits cripps style

Who's this Lyons bloke?I really over getting a new coach etc every friggin two years. It doesn't build stability at all for all involved.
Yesterday on Perth ABC Ben Cameron was asked if Lyons would be coaching Carlton and he seemed to think so but the kicker was if Carlton want Cerra he will not play under Lyons. Food for thought.
I hated Lyons game play at Freo it was so bloody boring.
Lyon yesThat wasn't my point.
Moreso, don't complain that we, as a club have poor culture and or need to improve it, then rejoice and or ignore a factor that doesn't lend to possibly improving it
As a pure coach, confident that someone like Lyon would improve our output and consistency, how far he takes us, is another conversational phase
He had his contracted extended this year until 2024 but the rumblings are getting louder over here that he needs to change his game plan because it’s been worked out. Ironically there's a lot of my Eagles supporting mates calling for the club to go after Clarkson to replace him.Is it possible that Adam Simpson moves on from The Eagles? Has credit in the bank, but they'll be rebuilding now and both parties might see this as the right time for a change.

If we miss out on him because he thinks Ross is too harsh then it's probably a good thing we miss out.
Don't need any more of the types who are conditional depending on how the coach talks to them.
I honestly think this is PR narrative coming from Freo as a last-ditch attempt to keep Cerra. Remember this leak originated from a WA journalist. If a strained relationship hits the airwaves, it could create doubt from all parties (Cerra, Carlton & Ross). If we miss out on him because he thinks Ross is too harsh then it's probably a good thing we miss out.

He (Cerra) was an absolute pro, him and Andy Brayshaw - if you’re talking about applying yourself, you couldn’t have asked (for more) - I think they were pick two and five.
He’s dedicated, trains hard, and he just wants to be a great player.
I would take him every day of the week because he’s a bona fide mid
That's not consistent with Ross' comments about Cerra...

Is that an educated guess EJ or you have some knowledge?Ross Lyon is over the line with us mate
I actually expect an appointment in the next week or so, give him time to bring his own people in for the trade and draft period.

Where is this coming from E_J?
Just joining the dots from A to B
He wouldn't be doing that if he hasn't made a commitment to the club and vice versa imo.
Sam McClure also running with Lyon to Blues is pretty solid Intel (not a fan of his, but he normally has good record with whispers from the club)
"Fremantle young gun Adam Cerra is waiting on Carlton to confirm its coaching situation before making a call on his future, as he would prefer Ross Lyon isn’t the man at the helm in 2022.
Cerra played under Lyon for 41 of his 76 games at the Dockers and is in the midst of deciding whether to return to Victoria and join Carlton or stay put.
Speaking on Fox Sports News’ AFL Tonight, foxfooty.com.au senior reporter Tom Morris explained the reason behind the 21-year-old’s indecision.
“He’s waiting on this coaching situation. He’s spoken with Carlton, but he’d prefer Ross Lyon isn’t the coach. He wasn’t a huge fan of Ross Lyon at Fremantle. Dockers people tell me Ross wasn’t a huge wrap for Cerra either,” Morris told AFL Tonight."

Those comments are weird...
Ross spoke up how good cerra was a month or so ago and said 'if he (Ross) were at Carlton he'd try to manufacture an Sps for cerra deal with picks involved'
Yet Ross doesn't like cerra.... Someone's telling porkies somewhere in there.
