Wouldn't mind that either mate, unfortunately too many entrenched forces of conservativsm at the club would make that extremely unlikely for the foreseeable future.
Heck the whole league has a problem getting women in coaches in the AFLW, so I don't think it's a Carlton issue alone.
We need to become more progressive like the NBA which has had a few highly rated female assitant coaches in their system like Becky Hammon who made history coaching the San Antonio Spurs and our Patty Mills in a game once when Coach Pop was out sick.

By assuring there will be vastly improved board stability, allowing greater autonomy in terms of assistant coaches, allowing for an innovative new football role - those things far more than money (lazy for the media to say ‘it’s all about obscene $ amounts’.)

The media are an absolute joke.
Write and say whatever they want with no consequences. Anything to get a click.
Had we retained Teague after the review they would be piling on after our first loss next year "the pressure is mounting on Teague" "Carlton had the chance to reset and start fresh last year but chose to stick fat with teague.. they are still leaking 5 goal runs"
You just know they would be going for his blood next year if we retained him.

The club is the laughing stock it deserves to be.
If increasing our offer to an obscene amount is the only way to get Clarkson, can't help but feel we should give it up and move on.
Do we really want a coach, even Clarko, if it appears they're not that keen on the role and were only swayed by the money? I don't see that working out well given how all-consuming being a head coach is.

it is not the 1980s - a head coach alone does not make a team
don’t like most of the guys mentioned in here or in the poll but to be honest I couldn’t gaf who they get as long it’s the best coaching team, I just want wins in finals

This, absoulutely this 110 freaking percent.
For all his perceived flaws, Rosco has expressed a keen and burning desire to coach us, and will not command as much as someone like Clarkson, whi seems to be wishy-washy throughout this entire process
Would be very happy with him to be our gaffer.

As long as she was rated higher than the rest of the available coaches out there, male or female, sure, why not? I want to see us employing the best though, not just on the basis that it'd be good to see a woman in a position.

Thought best available would be understood by all to be a given, that's why I said highly rated...
Not sure why people have disliked, the possibility of getting a female on board, bizarre...
I'd like a team of premiership winning assistants (either player or coach), that know what it takes to get there and will have the courage to not only push our players but our coach...

He is doing a good publicity job on his platforms. Growth mindset! Growth journey! Saying the right things. 30 to 45 days is a long time to speculate though.
