Yes, they wanted him and they managed to kick 3 goals in the gf. 😉 They got absolutely anihilated.
They did a Crows, played injured players in a GF and had half a midfield.

I'm not a huge Nicks fan, but the lack of different environments concerns me with Yze

If he wasn't under the best coach in the game, sure, it's a concern.

The fact he's under Clarko would make that null and void though.

Unfortunately Shorty we all have reason to whinge at present
It's a fair assessment sure, but how do we know those guys were the best options ??

Teague was appointed by the players, that's dangerous. Longmuir I will admit I like.

How do you know they are the best options?

Let's assume for a second that the other Clubs in the same positions as us, have half way competent coaching selection panels.

If they do, it stands to reason that those who were in the market first, would have secured the pick of the available options.

Add to that the fact that Carlton and St Kilda are all of a sudden destination Clubs, while it is obviously very early days, that's a hell of a good sign. Longmuir consistently highly rated when discussed.

Would like Teague, Longmuir or Ratten.

Oh, wait, we left it until the best options were already secured, so now we're sifting through the best of the rest.
Carlton and saints sacked the coaches well before us though.

Yeah that's a fair call, I'd still like an assistant from a different environment too.

It's true, however the Giants did want him.

The one thing I can't shake about Yze is his coaching career in the AFL has been spent under 1 coach. Yes it's Clarko, but it's still only one system.
I actually put money on someone not mentioned in the press yet as I expect a left field appointment
I honestly didn’t even know who Mark Stone was until Sanfl finals but his resume is very very impressive - more so than anyone touted as “our man”
A quick summary
West Coast midfield assistant , opposition analyst and stoppage coach 2002-2007
Sydney stoppage coach 2007-2011
Fremantle opp analyst and stoppage coach midfield assistant 2011-2017
Glenelg head coach 2018-2019

so he gets my vote even if it will underwhelm most - and I genuinely hope he gets it

Teague was pushed by the players, that's never good.

Pyke wanted Longmuir in 2017, he's been highly rated for a long time I agree

Yeah they know now, got to get the review stuff out the way first.

At various times throughout the process I thought Kingsley or Yze were the front runners but now I am leaning towards Harvey. He is probably the best credentialed and knows Adelaide fairly well.

Nicks CV doesn't appear enough to get him the job but he might be super impressive for all I know.

Yuk, I get a bad feeling about Harvey. Then again there just doesn’t seem anyone that stands out.

Fagan looked happy

Either Harvey is it or he was happy to get off the plane being stuck with Roo talking about how burton & campo are the future
