There have been 3, and 3 only, dynasties in the history of Football, in the true sense of the word: Pies in the 20s, Dees in the 50s, Hawks in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Winning 3 in a row, followed by a runners up, is amazing, especially in the modern era, but still doesn't count. You have to sustain it. And that seems impossible in this day and age.....
Throw in that we played in every finals series bar one from 1997 till 2001 including one Preliminary Final and the Dynasty becomes a 8 year instead of a 4 year.
And if you want to go pre merger the Bears played in the 1995 and 1996 finals series missing out on the minor premiership in 96 with the last game loss and losing both years to the eventual premiers.
So 1995 to 2004, a 10 year dynasty as you call it is not to bad.
1995, 1 Final, 0 Wins 1 Loss, Qualifying Final
1996, 3 Finals, 2 Wins 1 Loss, Preliminary Final
1997, 1 Fianl, 0 Wins 1 Loss, Qualifying Final
1998 N/A
1999, 3 Finals, 2 Wins 1 Loss, Preliminary Final
2000, 2 Final, 1 Win 1 Loss, Semi Final.
2001, 3 Finals, 3 Wins 0 Losses, Premiership
2002, 3 Finals, 3 Wins 0 Losses, Premiership
2003, 4 Finals, 3 Wins 1 Loss, Premiership
2004, 3 Finals, 2 Wins 1 Loss, Runners Up
