What's interesting is the rumors around Wright / Ned going head to head over the CEO getting involved in footy matters. The CEO role focuses on the business side of footy, I doubt GW is going to waltz in and immediately step on the toes of those in charge of the FD, it would make for an extremely rocky start for all parties involved.
Once again Dave, the CEO shouldn’t be involved in that stuff at all, he’d be immediately rocking the boat if he waltzed in and started interfering with the running of the footy dept.Wright could/will Suggest to Footy Department give Port what they want for Houston.

Especially considering he’ll be reporting to the actual CEO, Cook. Imagine it “hey gents I know you’ve been planning for 12 months what we’re doing this offseason, but **** Collingwood we’re going to pull the rug out from under them just to prove some Pies Bigfooty posters right that I like to overpay for pro scout recruits”The CEO role focuses on the business side of footy, I doubt GW is going to waltz in and immediately step on the toes of those in charge of the FD, it would make for an extremely rocky start for all parties involved.
The funny thing about all the people panicking over this is that he’s literally Cooks assistant right now up until he retires. As if he’s going to come in and start ordering around the FD when Cook is clearly already happy enough with how they’re operating! What's interesting is the rumors around Wright / Ned going head to head over the CEO getting involved in footy matters.
If that rumor is true....then what you've stated would absolutely be what happens....unless GW can't help himself (like we saw at the Pies when he took every role on he could find).....
It will be an interesting watch that's for sure.
Hahah you beat me to it!Especially considering he’ll be reporting to the actual CEO, Cook. He love you long time radio boyAh Mr Penis, long time no see.
FYI the 2025 draft has:You're overrating our future first. Yes it could end up pick 5, but with a heap of highly rated academy kids plus FA suddenly becoming more attractive as clubs are cashed up and giving huge deals, it's more likely end up pick 20+.
Look, don't put it past him. Us Pies BigFooty posters are astute judges.Especially considering he’ll be reporting to the actual CEO, Cook. I'd love to smack GW around with it right now. The stick alsoHe love you long time radio boy

I'd take Wes Walley pick 1 based on name.FYI the 2025 draft has:

- Daniel Annable BLA - First Round
- Thomas McGuane COL F&S - First Round
- 2nd Round Onwards
- Beau Addinall GCA
- Lachlan Carmichael SYDA
- Wes Walley Jnr. WC NGA
- Noah Chamberlain SYDA
- Dylan Patterson GCA
- Jai Murray GCA
- Toby Whan FRE NGA
- Basil Hart FRE NGA
- Louis Kellerway RIC F&S
- Charlie Banfield WCE F&S
- Koby Evans WCE NGA
- Kalani White MEL F&S and GCA
If they are paying 6+23 for Rioli then we shouldn’t be including our future first into a deal to get 13 and 29. Rioli has not once been all Australian FFSAnd people said Shaz, DGB, etc were going to be stars.
If you want certainty forget about trade or the draft.
Not outside the top 20 though is it?Which is currently being pushed outside the top 10 despite a completely disastrous injury run.
No, but we are most likely going to be significantly better next year than this one. Especially if we get Houston. It's a slight risk for significant reward. Not outside the top 20 though is it?
Clive Palmer looking naked into a mirror?Ah Mr Penis, long time no see.
Just media spin from Carlton.Sorry but how does Wright becoming CEO factor into Houston's decision at all?
Did you get that I said more likely than a top 5 pick - not that it will...Not outside the top 20 though is it?
Assuming you can find him.I'd take Wes Walley pick 1 based on name.
Zeke Uwland really caught my eye. He's Harley Reid without the fend off. His ability to use his core strength to just shake off tackles was mouth watering, he kicked the ball 70mtr at one stage and 50 from a standing start. ****ing academiesFYI the 2025 draft has:

I hope he's really inconsistent and goes missing a heap.Assuming you can find him.
