It "could". Just my view that it wouldn't have. Clubs are going to demand the max. Given that Houston is worth two firsts I'm almost sure we'd have accepted that deal. If you have the picks to pay fair value you don't get a contracted player for under value. We were fortunate to not have more picks.

They dumped two players weighing down their cap, added JFN and improved their draft hand next year with two future first rounders.

Yeah I think GC killed it, assuming they're not picking up a huge tab.

We did very well.

At this stage Port looks to have done badly, but I'm pretty bullish on Joey, Lukosius isn't short on talent and pick 13 could be a ripper. It won't be a big surprise if history judges them the overall winners.

What? We didn't have anything else to offer them. Port were trying to deal with North because our offer is below value, but it wasn't possible. Plus there's the Suns portion of the deal. If we had 10, the deal is less complicated and can be done between us and Power for 10 and F1.

No problem with agreeing to disagree. It's just a hypothetical.
