We should be keeping Charlie Dean I would have thought
Probably Eyre too

I thought Dean showed promise, mainly needing to work on his strength, and hope we give him another year. I liked he has showed improvement steadily since finally getting over his injuries. I haven’t seen anything from Eyre to give me ‘feel good’ vibes.

Well he should be on minimum salary so be pretty concerning if we couldn't. U can always manipulate things to put some money into different years

You think contracts are unbreakable in the AFL? Have you been thinking?
You need to re-think this kappy - say he is on $500k. By de-listing him, we would need to pay him that whole $500k in the next week and it would go to this year's salary cap. Which is no doubt at its absolute limit with a fortnight to go in the financial year. At best, we would be effectively removing $500k from next year's cap by going into the(allowable) red this year.

Moore was comparable as a young KPF to Curnow, Josh Kennedy, McKay, Tex Walker and Tom Hawkins...
I remember he was at stages.... but he never took off and become a star forward.

Curnow after year 4 became a bonafide star forward. He was so difficult to defend and when he's dominating, Blues are almost unbeatable lately.

But yes Moore had potential, just never took off as a forward.

Given they knew eyre would only play half a season (ended up being 8 games when he returned from his hamstring), I think he needs a full pre-season to get his body right. One more year I think to see how he goes.

Thanks Jen, it will be tough on whoever they let go. I would payout AJ first if there is salary cap room.

Ash Johnson needs a big summer.
He should really be trying to stake his claim and force his way into the 23

Perhaps he will do well playing on the edge when his career is on the line

I remember being excited by the footage of Ash chasing and laying some hard tackles last preseason......

Look at what Tigers got for Bolton compared to what Port got for Houston.

If they weren't happy yesterday, imagine how they're feeling today after seeing that deal.
Let’s not pretend that everyone didn’t already know what the Bolton and Rioli deals were going to net Richmond well before today.

I doubt their timing would have changed anything.
