Why is it down to those three? I’d much rather lose Schultz or Lipinski over Beau. I wouldn’t say there’s a marked differential in their market values?Yes well it is either Beau, Hill or IQ, one of those will be required unless another club will give us a package of picks for a first rounder this year. Depends how serious Hill is about moving, I would say that fire has burnt out and he is happy here.
But no way is Allan or JDG part of any trade, one is a killer on the big stage, and Allan is part of our future. Noble moving is actually a bonus, we can get something decent in return, if not CP trade then I would be happy with Davies and Peatling.
But if I was to guess, we are all in for CP.
OMG. Ralph and Barrett earlier this week stated the cap was tight. Didn't Fly say the same thing this week? Now Ralph is saying we do have room.So apparently we were able to take a 1m salary dump to get a player cheap at trade...
But we have no cap room
The same place potential means more than runs on the board, and an unknown quality worth more than a known quality. In what world Is Lukosious worth a million a year
There's a positive to every negative, they are going to disrupt their magic that is their now. Who's going to be disgruntled in their backline? Who are their mates? I hope it's Ginni, we know what he can dobarass too.
Which will allow them to play Sicily up forward.
We aren't trading Schultz and Lipinksi is worth a packet of chips. Why is it down to those three? I’d much rather lose Schultz or Lipinski over Beau. I wouldn’t say there’s a marked differential in their market values?
Barass is physically shot - his back is stuffed.Battle and Barrass and their side is complete for a serious shot at the flag in 2025. If they don't win it this year
If the choice is between Schultz and Beau there is not a world where Lachie is the one I retain. We aren't trading Schultz and Lipinksi is worth a packet of chips.
There style will start to get targetted - so it will depend on whether it stands up.Battle and Barrass and their side is complete for a serious shot at the flag in 2025. If they don't win it this year
You listed 3 best 22 players under 25 that are expendable but a 2 gamer is off limits because he’s part of our future?Yes well it is either Beau, Hill or IQ, one of those will be required unless another club will give us a package of picks for a first rounder this year. Allan will be a superstar and I have some mail on him, has overcome a lot of injury and next year will make his move. To get a trade done will require us to give up some value. You listed 3 best 22 players under 25 that are expendable but a 2 gamer is off limits because he’s part of our future?
Bizarre take.
That game completely changes our thinking IMO.
2 weeks ago....he was expendable and i'd have been happy to include him.
All of a sudden next year is about getting games into him.
Hobbs / Davies etc are not required as they will be competing for the same spot with no standout attributes (fin anyone?!).
Which then changes our trade / draft thinking.....the internal domino effect of that performance would be quite pronounced i would think.
It’s one of the more niche nah nah nah nah nah I’m right your wrong ones going considering it has to be FS, but Fremantle and GWS in 2019 both took selections before a bid on players aligned to them in the top 10. Collingwood in 2020 had two players drafted in the 1st Rd ahead of a player that received a bid in the 1st Rd. GWS again in 2022 drafted a player ahead of a 1st Rd bid. It’s not unheard of for clubs to keep 1st Rd picks with players projected to be bid later in the 1st Rd. The reason I’d say it hasn’t happened as Carl has mapped out is that the FS’ have either been guns (Naicos, Darcy, Ashcroft x2) which makes it bloody tough to get a pick ahead of them or lower 1st Rd talents. Essentially though we don’t have enough data to suggest a trend. The Lions kept their first rounder for 2022 in 2021, not future trading it. They were then able to trade it for Dunkley while using later picks to acquire both Ashcroft and Fletcher.
That game was as soft a game of footy as you will ever see. That game completely changes our thinking IMO.

You definitely do not need a players permission to delist them. You've got to get his permission to be put on the rookie list when contracted.
Yeah I didn’t like hearing that either.Im appalled at the lack of sensitive nature to Petraccas ordeal with the injury. Traumatic to him is traumatic to him , doesnt mean he should be told to suck it up. Yet everyone fawns over Oliver a known drug addict and treat him with care and protect him. Meanwhile Petraccas called a sook, suck it up princess and overeacting.
Its become pretty immature as a whole from Melbourne and its lackeys and some of the media folk. What do you expect from Melbourne really though
Yep. Crowds of 19,000 at the G won’t cut it.Trac wants big crowds.
The original comment was to move them to the rookie list and that process is to first delist them and second redraft them in the rookie draft. None of that requires the permission of Macrae or Johnson nor does paying them out which is another option which I don’t think will come to pass unfortunately.unless they plan to pay them out
I bet Petracca has some juicy inside knowledge of Goodwin though.I've heard a lot of negative stuff about Goodwin, from many different people. Mind you, I doubt any of them have any inside knowledge whatsoever. There is one common them amongst them all though. The current climate also seems to reflect it
Mistake IF Reef LeavesIt's looking unlikely for Reef and Kreuger to at least stay on senior list with the number crunch
