If they try that and we don't get the Houston deal done then I see us using the extra cap space to retain Richards by matching Port's offer. If that doesn't work then so be it. A third from Port won't cut it imo.

These walking to players to the draft very rarely happens. Clubs generally try to a deal in some capacity, as walking to someone to the draft just provides angst toward players, player managers, clubs for next time a manager has a player the club is interested in.

It's idiotic. Only the player can walk himself to the draft and why the hell would Richards manager give that card to Port. He'd have to get to the 3rd round for them to get him for the 3rd round pick that is all they said Port should pay. So much uncertainty.

I think it will get done. There’s a lot of stuff being leaked, likely from both port and GC in order to try to bolster their positions, but when it comes down to it we have players they both want and are in the best position of any team to offer Port a deal that will satisfy them.

Nothing I say will change what may or may happen. I don't have that kind of influence lol I really don't care either way at this point, I'm sick of hearing his name.

Morris might be correct that we are a "long" way from satisfying Port. It's possible, as you say, that we've finally got an agreement from the Suns and have now moved to dealing with Port. Those deals start a distance a part and converge. It's normal.

Only guessing, just as Morris seems to be.
