No - the article eludes to other players not being listed as receiving payments as well."the fine amount reflects how much the club exceeded total player payments by"

The combined total being 28k over cap
Traditionally the salary cap is home and away games only and no payments are made for finals. If you can’t play in September purely for the love of the game then there’s a problem.Morningside in the QAFL having a big play for Ankers.Do finals games played count in the salary cap in O and M? It doesn’t up here in the QAFL.
You still get presents from Santa don’t you.Weekly times article reporting that AFL believe acknowledge it was an administration error , indicating not deliberate .
If that is truly the case it’s was missive fine / penalty for non-deliberate act . Reckon they’d be a person or two in AFL house nervous if they faced a similar fate for wrong doings .
Or Reserves players who only got paid for games played in the firsts who weren't on the original budgeted spreadsheet of "contracted " known paymentsAhh Wang signing players to $0. What a group of selfless young men

I still feel like there is a bigger issue to address here. If it was just an admin error all well and good. So someone got overplayed, doubly. I don’t know about you blokes but when I was getting payed I was well aware of when that money was going into my account and if a payment was missed. It was only 20 bucks but still.
Surely any decent bloke would put his hand up early and say hey I’ve been double payed, maybe young blokes don’t check their accounts

Whispers around the water cooler this morning is that Rovers have parted ways with big ruck recruit Hughes. Something about him getting blind at the season launch on Sat night and making a c*ck of himself, including some alleged derogatory behaviour towards some of the netballers. Pretty firm statement from the club if true, and good on them I say. No place for that crap in today’s society
