Trams. Seems like most people that rave about them ride them because they like the scenery and not for utilitarian motives. I find them slow to ride and even more annoying when I am driving

I like the tram. Sometimes I take it more for safety (I can park literally 5m away from a tram stop >>> walking thru a lonely dark train car park)... other times for convenience- closest train station is a 15 minute drive.

Scenery? Pretty sure most trams use the same roads as all the rest of the traffic.

I look at live sport like I do live music, you can listen to an album, watch a concert video, but you can't beat the thrill of being there, and seeing it live. The emotion in Adelaide on the first morning of the Test last year in the wake of Phillip Hughes' death was amazing, and then to see Smith, and Clarke get their hundreds was indescribable, and something that would have been impossible to convey on television.

That reminds me of when Steve Waugh hit that 4 off the last ball of the day to get to 100 when he was having his bad run of form.
