Test Pakistan v England (3 Test Matches)

FC averages suggest a debut for Muhammad Huraira, recent form suggests Umar Amin could come in from the cold, I would like the legendary Fawad Alam to return.

Maybe Pak will Bazball though and pick a twatter based on strike rate?

Going through the new additions to the squad, I weary that the majority of them are 30+, including Noman Ali who just turned 38.

My predicted XI would be; Abdullah Shafique, Muhammad Hurraria, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, (batter), Salman Agha, Aamer Jamal, (quick bowler), (quick or spin), Mehran Mumtaz

Vaughan giving it the biggen in the press about how stupid Pakistan are for dropping Babar and Shaheen:

Well f**king stop watching England only cricket and watch something beyond what mainstream once-a-year cricket tells you you ******* and check what they’ve been doing.

In his last 10 tests Afridi has 33 wickets at 37 and yes he’s played a few of them on some bad pitches but he’s had some shitty opposition to fill his boots against as well, and he’s the attack leader getting first crack with a brand new ball each time.
Babar has averaged 20 in 19 innings without a 50.

WTF are they supposed to do?

Let’s see how reusing the pitch works out….
Proof that the game is ****ed at international level - Pakistan form at home since the introduction of neutral umpires and DRS has certainly had sn impact on results

I think anyone knows it’s somewhere between the two. No one as classy as he is, is being blacklisted or something but he needs a break. His form has deserted him and they need to win this test.

Awesomely, Vaughan’s claim that dropping the players they have dropped is ‘madness’ is so far 0/1: Babar’s replacement is unbeaten on 50, doing in one innings what Babar hasn’t done in 19.

The fact that Root can bowl and does bowl is a massive leg up over Smith, Williamson, and Kohli. It just gives Stokes that extra option to fill in the overs or move things along

Smith and Williamson can bowl spin as well but not as well as Root can, Root can almost bowl as well as a frontline spinner.

I don't think I have ever seen Williamson bowl.
Smith hasn't bowled in ages, even though he was brought into the Australian side as a spinner.
And whenever Kohli bowl, it's almost done for the fun of it

I'd be interested in Joe Root's bowling stats since McCullum took over.
So cricinfo have stats under captain. I've taken the stats where Pope and Stokes have been captain
