He's legit draftable? I thought he's been playing for Peel for a while now.
I think he is normally a defender and not yet 22? If he can hold marks and kick goals like today then I reckon yeah he is draftable. Test , of course , is can he repeat it? Closer Peel “watchers” will have a more informed take.

yeah he’s a perfect WAFL footballer. Has guts
, great overhead and neat skills and is built like a truck…but he moves like one.

if had a bit more zip he could’ve been a Lachie Schultz type
If he'd been 10 cm taller (having played most his career as an undersize key forward, even by WAFL standards undersized) or much more tank and speed yes, has the other traits. But you only get one strike if you want to make it.

Bell doesn't need to be anything other than a WAFL player, like Tony Notte and Matt Riggio for Swans.

Has Blair Bell ever put his hand up to play AFL ?

Must have been close

The bloke that used to post here about the Don Talbot underwater weights training (others will know who I am talking about - I just forget what his name is), mentioned to me once in this forum that Blair Bell had chatted to him and told him he was thinking of nominating for the AFL draft. This is back around 2016. Apparently, he had an ACL knee injury when he was playing colts for Peel that kept him out of football for a while when he was younger, then took up a vocation of fisherman, which made it hard for him to commit to full time football.

My mate Bailey Banfield begs to differ.

After reflection of the game best on ground has to go to Bell. He was heart and soul.

Colyer flashes of brilliance helped lift Peel

Sears was terrific throughout the second half

Freo really need more from O'Driscoll Worner and Emmitt. I wonder why Emmitt was just ok after being so prolific in his two AFL games?

Emmett was just OK in like...all of his WAFL games. Like the best games I've seen him play were his two AFL games, and he even managed coaches votes from both coaches in just his second game. I wonder if the structure of AFL compared to the chaos of WAFL makes it easier for him excel?

Emmitt sure did excel at afl level and so did Wagner

It’s interesting with Emmett, I think his lightning fast hands are too quick for his wafl teammates, they are an absolute weapon in the AFL where his teammates are switched on for the super fast release and make the most of it, but several times today it broke down because the receiver wasn’t ready for it.
Also in the wet he was looking for the next play before he had the ball and it slipped out of his hands, something he’ll have to be mindful of next time he plays in those conditions
