The Australain Raven and Little Raven are both found in Adelaide and short of finding an extremely large Australian Raven require the assistance of an Ornithologist to tell apart, and the Little Crow can be found deeper into the Adelaide Hills and further north in the Flinders Ranges and beyond.

They all have grey-white eyes as adults.

Na they have white on the wings. Little Raven

Only if you make them flap away!

It is understood the new logo will feature a whole Crow and look more aggressive than the team’s present insignia.

The fresh look is considered to be modern with some traditional aspects, but with no shield.

It is expected to be revealed later this year for the upcoming season with the plan of being the club’s logo for at least the next decade.

The club is finalising its 2025 guernsey designs, including weighing up subtle tweaks to its home jumper.

They have tasked a local company with the rebranding.

It has run focus groups while taking in input and ideas nationally and from overseas as it works towards what the club wants to present.

Changing the home jumper?? Why? It's our best asset?

Do they mean changing the cuffs on the sleeves to navy instead of yellow? It's about the only change that would be somewhat acceptable

It's either an Atlanta Hawks sitch or we have the more detailed, standalone 2000s crow back in the AFL.

Adelaide will have a fresh logo next season to symbolise a new era for the club as it prepares to move to Thebarton.
The club has investigated a branding redesign for about 18 months to replace the blue crow’s head that has been its emblem since 2010.

It is understood the new logo will feature a whole crow and look more aggressive than the team’s present insignia.

Adelaide wanted the branding refresh to help represent the significant change on the horizon in shifting from West Lakes to its new base at Thebarton.

The Crows, who received state planning approval in June, hoped to move into their home by late 2026.

They have tasked a local company with the rebranding.

It has run focus groups while taking in input and ideas nationally and from overseas as it works towards what the club wants to present.

Adelaide last redesigned its logo to coincide with an off-field change – the move into its redeveloped training base at West Lakes at the end of 2009.

The blue head emblem replaced the full crow with navy, gold and red stripes that had been the club’s insignia since the end of 1998.

Adelaide’s inaugural logo was similar to what it had from 1999-2009 but inside a shield.

Cross-town rival Port Adelaide changed its emblem for the club’s 150th season in 2020, before opting to maintain it beyond that campaign.

It seems to be a brand refresh, not just a change of logo.

I thought there would be some other changes like this.

I think a lot of people would be pretty outraged if it was anything but this. The tri-colours have been an ever-present feature since inception - if it ain't broke don't fix it.

This all sounds very promising.
Wouldn't be against the Gather Round crow or a variation of it

Could mount an argument that the current overall branding actually is broken.

If the jumper receives a tweak as part of this refresh and it's in the hands of competent people (outside agency, not club employees), then I'm not against it.

Will reserve judgement, but open to a change.

Yeah that bit does slightly concern. Hopefully it's a very slight change like the cuffs or something like that. Any change to the overall design of hoops in the order they're in can get in the bin. Changing home designs is for the franchise down the road, not us.

Might just be them deciding on the collar. It's been the same for three seasons now so I imagine they'll change up the template with the new logo.

It’s the hope that kills you.

We will likely see this in the first week of November if similar to previous logo reveals.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see something that is similar in composition to the gather round logo but updated to match current design styles and quality.

But who knows. I’ve liked a lot of what we’ve done recently so have some faith they’ll get it right.

A home guernsey change can be tweaked back for the following season a lot easier than a new logo can, they already get a minor change every year anyway to encourage people to buy more, so it's not overly concerning
When was the last time the telegraphed a home jumper change though?
