Just hopped back from the afl website. Have to say I am mildly annoyed Hawks are trying to claim the underdog tag for this game.

Well given you finished top and are playing at home, have had basically a month off I would've thought it not too outlandish a suggestion

Last time in Tassie from my hazy memory of things Lewis led the way in scragging, holding and smashing into Fyfe legally and illegally at every opportunity. Working on the theory that in finals you can get away with a lot more of that crap, I expect Fyfe to have a torrid time around the ball. He has to get forward more I reckon.
The good news for us is that game was in the period of Fyfe's golden run of form and we had become so reliant on him winning every clearance we didn't cope. Perversely with him now less devastating we will cope better. But Lewis will give him hell.

Using that logic it's not really. But considering you pumped us by 72 last time and the general consensus of the AFL media is that you have our number, suggesting that really is trying a bit hard to not be rated. It's like watching the week before a State of Origin game where both sides spend most of the week pre-empting bad referee calls and claiming to be the true underdog. It's tiresome and shows a bit of insecurity
Except for the fact that all we've been hearing from the media (and BF posters, Hawk fans included) all year is how we're the most unworthy team to ever finish on top and that we don't have the offensive capacity to match the Hawks, who our biggest bogey side.

I'm shocked that you're hearing any of that rubbish, not less from BF posters.
There's a few charts and squiggles out there that don't favour you but I personally don't buy the stats, you're a very formidable side at home and are well rested...stats won't mean a lot come bounce down Friday.
You're favourites and totes will be even come game day.
Hopefully both sides bring their best...Game of the year for me

Well we don't exactly play Subi that well, so I can't seeing the Hawks scoring too heavily.
This will be a grind which will suit Freo perfectly
Please define enough... if you mean more than the other team then I would direct yourself to the ladder to see that on numerous occasions this year Fremantle did score enough to win.

Freo at $2.40? I mean yowsers. That's value.
I'd have thought this would be more of a toss of the coin affair. I think people have fallen in love with the Hawks again after dismantling a very weary Adelaide.
I'd have placed odds around the $1.90 each mark.
Technically we should start favourites. Our 4 losses have all been to decent teams in Hawks, Richmond, North and WCE. 3 of those teams remain and 2 of those teams jumped us here at Subi.
Basically we're in this to our eyeballs.

I reckon those odds will tighten considerably in coming days...might have a bite at $2.40 myself...outrageous odds
North are $4.25!
Outrageous to get to this point of the year and have 2 contests that the bookies feel are essentially done and dusted.
Then again in finals games alone they'd have got a few wrong from the 6 games played.
