and both pick 8 &12 ended up with rising stars nominations plus Culley who was msd last year ended up with one as well.
we ended up with three and so did your mob.So if we are rabble so must your mob be.
It was a good deal for all parties. I know your “mob” like to Dodoro this, but reality is a deal of early pick swaps will be done to help both clubs get the outcome they want. Last year was an excellent example.

Yeah I do not buy this bs one bit. There was no clear talent at 2 that wanted to go to WA.

The trade worked out well for all parties & contradicts the WC poster notion that your club are going to bleed ours dry in a pick swap.

Most WC posters have said it would take 2&3 (or some variation) to get it done but don't actually think it would be offered

Unless North changes their draft hand now and between draft night a deal is unlikely.

I think this has been the case all along. Unless its picks which guarantee Curtin and McKercher/Duursma/etc. then they wouldnt want to trade, and anyone who could get those players wouldnt want to give them up for Reid.

Or shouldnt anyway. 2 potentially brilliant players is better than one potentially insane player.

Using JHF as an example of why WC shouldn't take Reid makes no sense, I'm not sure why it keeps getting brought up.

That's the worst case scenario, the guy sooks it up after one year (which I'm pretty sure Reid wont).....and it's still very arguable if North is worse or better off than if they had just taken the pre draft trade from the Crows

If anything it's the perfect example of why WC should take the (so-called) "risk"

I’m convinced JHF got exactly what was planned all along.

He wanted to get to port, he said all the things north wanted to hear so we wouldn’t trade the pick to the crows. He panned to see out his initial contract and then leave but used the Clarko bombshell to get out of dodge early.

As you said, reid is nothing like that, and actually called out his decision.

Reid will spend the first half of his career at west coast if you draft him.

I'm sure Geelong already have him on their board for 2030

Pick 3 and a couple of picks that’ll end up in the 20’s is a bunch of junk, yes.
lol you still get the 15th best player available despite if it goes back a few picks due to bids

People trying to diminish picks back due to academy kids that they weren’t able to pick is laughable

The going rate for pick 1 was set last year

Expect something similar at best

We’re not giving up Aaron Cadman here. You might want to see if you can split that pick 3 of yours and offer something inside the top 10 along with pick 2 if you want to be serious. Your junk picks won’t cut it.

We’d be happy taking 2 and 3 to the draft if it doesn’t cut it

Either way we are having 2 top 3 picks

Again, Sheezel is a jewish kid from Elsternwick who played at Ajax and went to Mt Scopus (I don't know if you are familiar with the Caulfield and Elsternwick areas of Melbourne)

32% of these suburbs are Jewish and are the largest Jewish communities in Australia.

I don't see it any different to an aboriginal kid not wanting to move away from their community in SA or WA.

It sucks for some teams, but other clubs have been on the receiving end plenty of times also.

It's clearly a unique situation given the amount of Jewish footballers to play AFL football.

It will happen more and more with the Sudanese draft prospects over the next decade(s) also imo.

I cannot believe you are using the indigenous example to defend entitled rich
kids at private schools not wanting to move interstate.

Rich entitled private school boys versus disadvantaged first nations kids with extremely close family ties and ties to home and country.

And the way you are peddling this BS it it's like only WA indigenous players don't like relocating. Well firstly plenty do move. Some even choose to be traded but not back home. And secondly this issue affects every club in every state.

Just seems to be a recent pandemic for Vic Metro kids pushing back on moving interstate.
