36 years old or not, I'm still taking Travis Boak on our list next year over the McEntees, Narkles and Evanses of this world.

The club has made the right call with Travis. He exceeded expectations this year. He stayed loyal to Port in its darkest hour and the club should stay loyal to him.

I believe he was told 12 months ago to expect to play SANFL in 2024. I am sure he will be told that again for 2025. With better concessions in place for the Magpies, his leadership at that level will be invaluable. If he deserves AFL games while Lorenz and others develop, all the better.

No one gets gifted games at strong clubs. Lorenz and others have to earn their place. Right at the moment, Travis is best 22.

Boak has been offered the Dev coach role at the PIES.
Maybe we do the same, a playing Dev coach
Boak is part of our problem. A great role model in professionalism, but also an avid promoter of the acceptance mediocrity. Let his training habits rub off, but keep him the hell away from a coaching role.

Take the offer Boak. He already got burned not leaving us for Geelong.

Port Adelaide expects club great Travis Boak will make a call on his future in the next 24 to 48 hours. It is understood the 36-year-old is leaning towards playing on and the ball has been in his court.Would start his 19th season on 371 games.

I think given the space on the list, one more year isn't bad but he should be prepared to play a development role in the 2's. But then again, i'd rather we no longer had his influence so we can start to move on from cuddly bullshit.

I don't want to live in a world where we clear out Travis Boak to make room for Ratkins.
