Theres a lot of scapegoating going on in other thread and blaming Butters etc. We need to get our hands on the ball before Butters can do his thing.

Wines has gone
H&A:
29 touches and 1 goal v GWS
29 touches and 1 goal v Brisbane
33 touches and 1 goal v Geelong

Finals:
16 touches v GWS
14 touches v Brisbane
23 touches v Geelong

His stats in the GWS and Geelong finals are padded with 7 and 8 last qtr touches.

His role is the one thats least effected by the gameplan . He just needs to get to the ball

He was getting to the ball against the cats but fumbling and clearly lack of confidence or something.. made a lot of mistakes in the 1st half... could also be because he had no one to support him.. I mean, without Butters 100% he only has JHF when he's actually there and not on the bench or what ever 🤦 didn't see like he had any support to run through or past to receive it.

I hope this is;
“Connors strength is his evasiveness and explosive pace, he exposes this by anticipating what the ball is going to do and what the opposition is going to do. When he gets this right everyone sits back and waxes lyrical about him possibly being the most dynamic player in the comp, when the timing is out it can look bad. He is a young leader living his biggest and most important year of his life, he will be better for the experience and his ability to juggle a lot of change has been commendable all season. If he doesn’t rip the Hawks apart, it’s only a matter of time until his ability to read the play wins us a Final.”
